    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set large torque and large damping force in a rotatable display device without severe restrictions on attachment positions of attachable/detachable external components.
      SOLUTION: When a resistance gear 29 is engaged with a gear tooth row on the inner periphery of an arcuate member 21 (S71), a controller outputs a control signal which disengages the resistance gear 29 and the tooth train from each other, in response to the operation of a remote controller 15 (S72). A second arm 61 is turned counterclockwise via a turning shaft 59 to disengage them from each other (S73). The control signal is output to a motor 35 to rotate a display screen part 5 (S74). When the remote controller 15 is operated (S72), it is checked whether the operation of the remote controller 15 is released or not, and the motor 35 is controlled to be stopped and the rotation of the display screen part 5 is stopped (S76) in the case that it is released (S75). The engagement with the resistance gear 29 is restored once again (S71).

The fixed supporter 110 includes an arm attaching part 112A rotatably attached around the fixed shaft P1. The movable supporter 190 includes a free wheel 193 attached to the lower end of a main movable supporter 191, and a rotary support means 192 rotatably supporting the mounting mechanism 200 around the movable shaft P2. The arm 170 connects an arm attaching part 112A and the main movable shaft 191. The mounting mechanism 200 includes a thin display apparatus mounting part 251 supporting a display screen 21 in a posture parallel to the fixed supporter 110.
