摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmitting/receiving system which inserts a control signal meeting a program supplier's intention into a transmission signal and automatically selects data to be outputted from a receiving unit as scrambled or after descrambled.SOLUTION: In a broadcast transmitting/receiving system, a control information is inserted into a transmission signal in a transmission side, and in a reception side, the system comprises: a descrambler descrambling a received scrambled signal; a demultiplexer separating a multiplexed signal outputted from the descrambler into video and audio encoded data to output to a source decoder and extracting the control information to output to a CPU; a CPU interpreting a control signal in the control information to determine whether to output a signal as scrambled or after descrambled and outputting a switch control signal; and a switch switching whether to output a signal in preceding stage to the descrambler or after descrambled in accordance with the switch control signal. The system automatically switches according to the control signal meeting a program supplier's intention.

CONSTITUTION:A line judging circuit 121 judges whether a line belongs to a video part or a pictureless part. A boundary judging circuit 122 judges a boundary between the video part and the pictureless part. A time integrating circuit 123 integrates a detected boundary position by time and determines a final boundary position. A detection control circuit 113 finds out a video part area from the final position, detects average luminance in the range and controls the integration time of the circuit 123 based upon the average luminance. Consequently responseness is improved by increasing the time constant of the circuit 123 in a dark image to suppress the output of a misdetection signal and reducing the time constant in a bright image.
