Then, the exciting pulses are applied to respective wave transmitters in the transmitter side train T1 to send out an ultrasonic wave in time series, and a receiver side train R1 is made to correspond to the transmitter side train T1; and receivers of channels 1-(i) transmit and receive the ultrasonic wave successively in time series to perform flaw detection as to the entire circumference of a tube. Thus, the flaw detection is performed excellently.

A compensation coil 33 is provided outside the transmission coil 31 and differentially connected with the receiving coil 32 to offset and remove inductive noise voltage.

    • PURPOSE:To measure a minute defect and a defect near surface without being influenced by the change in measuring condition by providing respectively two pieces of radio transmission coils and radio reception coils in juxtaposition. CONSTITUTION:When a material 2 to be inspected is put into the DC magnetic field by an electromagnet 1, and a pulse current is applied by a pulser 5 to radio transmission coils 3s, 3m, a ultrasonic wave is generated in the material 2, propagates in the material 2 and is received by radio reception coils 4s, 4m. The outputs of the coils 4s, 4m are inputted via differential amplifier 6d, and a waveform shaping circuit 9d to a divider 10, whilist the output of the coil 4s for comparison is inputted via an amplifier 6s and a waveform shaping circuit 9s to a divider 10. The output divided from the differential output signal by a comparing output signal is monitored by a motor 7. Then, the output does not change despite the change in measuring conditions such as of magnetic flux density and gaps, and the sizes of defects are inspected with good accuracy.
