SOLUTION: A stamper, which has minute unevenness on the surface, is brought into contact with the surface of a substrate and pressurized in order to form a minute structure on the substrate in the transfer device. The transfer device is composed of a unit in which a process for pressurizing the stamper and the substrate and a process for peeling off the stamper from the substrate are independent. When moved from the pressurizing process to the peeling-off process, the stamper and the substrate are moved in a closely fitted state. Preferably, at least two sets of the stamper and the substrate are processed so as to be processed simultaneously or in a temporally overlapping state with different processes in the transfer device.
