    • PURPOSE:To switch a load current to forward and reverse directions in a high speed with a high precision, by using a circulating current delay circuit to perform the circulating current control at the time when the load current is stabilized. CONSTITUTION:Thyristor converters 12 and 16 of three-phase bridge connection are connected in anti-parallel to a load 18, and both converters 12 and 16 are controlled through pulse phase shifters 26 and 28 in accordance with both currents, which are detected by a circulating current detector 20 and a load current detector 22, and their current commands 104 and 106 by an electronic control circuit 24. The circulating current delay circuit, which attains the deviation between a detected load current 102 and the load current command 104 by a subtractor and compares this deviation with a reference deviation to turn on and off contacts of the circulating current command 106 and a circulating current 100, is added to the control circuit 24. This delay circuit turns off contacts if the deviation is larger when the load current rises rapidly; and if the deviation is smaller, the delay circuit turns on contacts to start the circulating current control.

    • PURPOSE:To realize an answer control of the shortest time without generating a steady error, by calculating the resistance of a load from the current and terminal voltage of the load and changing the gain constant to a constant which does not generate the steady error. CONSTITUTION:The resistance of a load is calculated from the current and the terminal voltage of the load, and the gain constant is changed to a constant which produces no steady error. For instance, the load current command value is supplied to a current control circuit 6, and the control signal is supplied to an automatic pulse phase shifter 5 via a sample holding circuit 9 and a limiter 8. Then the control signal which controls the phase of a thyristor of a thyristor converter 1 from the shifter 5. A DC current is supplied to a load 3 via a DC reactor 2, and the current and terminal voltage of the load 3 are detected by a current detector 4 and a voltage detector 11 and then supplied to a load resistance calculating part 12 to calculate the load resistance. This calculated load resistance is reflected on the load resistance of a gain constant 10 for each sampling period.

Then when they flow a current (D) to a load and further flow the circulating current (E), detected currents 100 and 102 are obtained from a current detector. Those detected currents 100 and 102 are applied to an adder 32 by switching the current (E) by a switching part 40 at times T1-T2. This current (E) flows on the basis of the circulating current command 106(C) and includes the delay of the system, etc., so the current command is added to the load current command 104(A) to obtain a command signal (D) of a forward side. Consequently, current control conforming to the load current command 104 and circulating current command 106 is performed at the high speed and with the high precision.

CONSTITUTION:An average value number indicating the number of operation outputs to be averaged and outputted is set to an average value output operating part 12. The target value from an upper-level computer and the feedback quantity from a current detector 6 are taken into the shortest time response controlling part of the lower-level computer. The shortest time control operation is performed on a basis of taken-in data so that an optimum current is flowed to a magnetic field coil. If a plasma current exciting signal of a control interruption signal does not exist, the number of outputs which is set to the operating part 12 are averaged, and the operation result is stored in an operation result table and is outputted. If the plasma current exciting signal exists, the current operation result is outputted without executing the average value output operation.
