      SOLUTION: The door structure of an automobile is formed by joining an outer panel and an inner panel 2. The front part 3 of the inner panel 2 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle is connected to the vehicle body through hinges 4, and the rear part 5 is locked in the vehicle body by a locking means. The inner panel 2 is configure to have different plate thickness so that each portion 3, 5, 16, 17, 18 is provided with proper rigidity. The rear side 5 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle is adjusted to have plate thickness larger than that of intermediate parts 16, 17, 18 so that the gravity center 14 of the door is placed on the side of the rear side more than the center 15 in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle.
