CONSTITUTION:A molding stock M2 obtained by forming a strip into a prescribed cross-sectional shape is formed by bending it by a bending roll device 40 after passing through a holding device 30. The device 30 is constituted of loosely fitted rolls 31a, 31b, 32a, 32b and 33a, 33b. The roll 33a of rolls 33a, 33b is fixed to a machining bed, but the 33b is attached so as to be eccentrically moved through a bracket frame. The device 40 is provided with bending rolls 43a, 43b and is made to be freely rockable to the right or left side around a supporting axis 44. By this mechanism, the molding of sharp and small radius of curvature can be smoothly performed by the rocking of bending rolls 43a, 43b and the eccentric movement of holding rolls 33b, and the molding performance is improved.

    • PURPOSE: To prevent a worker's injury which is given by the edge of a net shield enclosing an exhaust system vibration absorber used for automotive exhaust pipes when the absorber is assembled, by welding that edge in advance.
      CONSTITUTION: An arc welding is executed at both ends of a cylindrical body of a specific length thickly net with a stainless steel wire, producing welded parts 21. A spot welding 24 is executed at certain intervals inside of the parts 21. External fringes 22 of the welded parts 21 are cut off and notched 23 in such a manner that the vertexes of ths resultant triangular notches agree with the points made by the spot welds 24, respectively. A net shield 2 produced in said manner encloses a bellowlike vibration absorber 1 disposed on the way of an exhaust pipe and is contracted at both ends, on which metal rings 6 are fastened. Then a spot welding is executed on the end laps. Because the ends of the net shield are welded, the wire extending from the net ends may not injure workers when assembling.
