    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute stable edge joint welding with high reliability by a laser beam. SOLUTION: The laser beam welding device is provided with a laser irradiation head 9 to be pointed to an overlapped joint position on the end face of the edge of an overlapped base material 21, a first set of rollers 12 copying one plane of the base material and a second set of the rollers 18 copying the other plane opposing to the one plane, a first member 11 connected to a head 9 and supporting the rollers 12 rotatably and a second member 17 connected to the head 9 and supporting the rollers 18 rotatably, and a pressurizing means 16 driving at least one of the first member 11 and the second member 17 in a direction to shorten a gap between the rollers 12, 18 and the base material 21 so as to pressurize the base material 21 by clamping the base material 21 by the rollers 12, 18. Moreover, the device is provided with copying means 1-9, 11, and 12 to constantly maintain a distance of a laser emitting nozzle of the head 9 to the upper end face of the base material 21.
