    • PURPOSE:To damp vibration of a car body and reduce the generation of a noise, by integrally securing a battery to a subframe supporting an engine and increasing mechanical impedance of the subframe. CONSTITUTION:A subframe 3 is suspended to the bottom part of a car body frame 1 forming an engine compartment 2, and an engine E is mounted onto the subframe. The subframe 3 consists of lateral beams 31, 32 and a longitudinal beam 33, and a mounting bed 5 is secured onto the one lateral beam 31, while a battery 6 is mounted onto the mounting bed 5. If the engine E is operated, the direction of change in engine torque due to rotation of a crankshaft 4 of the engine is aligned to the direction of bending of a car body, and this causes vertical swivelling of the car body to be emphasized, then vibration of vertical bending is on the increasing trend in the front part of the car body, however, the battery 6 secured to the subframe 3 increases mechanical impedance of the subframe 3, and vibration of the subframe 3 is damped, then a vibrative noise of the car body is reduced.

    • PURPOSE: To reduce vibrations of a car by providing a means to restrict instantaneously the change of requisite output of the engine and thereby allowing the change of output to take place comparatively slowly.
      CONSTITUTION: The restricting means consists in a means to delay more or less the corresponding action of the fuel system when the engine is to be accelerated. In linkage with this means 3, a valve 6 is interposed in the fuel passage 4 in the carburettor 2 in such an arrangement as closed when the negative pressure in the negative pressure chamber 5 increases and, further, a throttle 8 is interposed in the negative pressure chamber 7 to put the negative pressure chamber 5 in communication with the suction passage 1. Accordingly, the valve 6 is closed normally, and opened through the action of the negative pressure chamber 5 when the negative pressure in the suction passage 1 reduces subsequent to the accelerating operation to admit supply of the fuel, and at this time the throttle 8 gives it a delay more or less. This will allow the output of engine to change comparatively slowly.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a self-expansion type mount which is capable of correct control of the vibration of a source of vibration over the wide frequency range from the low frequency to the high frequency. CONSTITUTION:A main liquid chamber 6 formed between an elastic rubber 3 fixed on a power unit side 2 and a casing 5 fixed on a vehicle body side 4, and a liquid pressure changing means 7 to change the liquid pressure of the main liquid chamber 6 are provided. A space changing means 11 which is provided with a magnetostrictive element 10 which is elastically deformed according to the control signal is interposed between the vehicle body side 4 and an upper casing 5. If the control signal is received by the space changing means 11, the magnetostrictive element 10 is deformed elasitically, and the space between the vehicle body side 4 and the upper casing 5 is changed. On the other hand, if the control signal is received by the liquid pressure changing means 7, the liquid pressure changing means changes the liquid pressure, leading to expansion of the elastic body.

    • PURPOSE:To make a concentration of stress as small as possible produced at junction part and improve a twisting strength at the junction part by a method wherein some notches are arranged at the inner end of a metallic coupling member and a sectional shape at the junction with a resin pipe is decreased as it is approached to the inner end. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of notches 11 are equally spaced apart in a circumferential direction of a coupling member 3 and formed at an end surface of reduced diameter of a metallic coupling member 3. The notches 11 are formed by cutting a desired length of wall from the end surface of reduced diameter 7 to the end surface of large diameter 6 and a width W of the notch 11 is gradually decreased as it is approached to the end surface of the large diameter 6, so that a difference between a twisting ridigity of the coupling member 3 and a twisting ridigity of the resin pipe 2 is substantially reduced compared with that of the conventional one, so that a concentration of stress produced at the junction part when a torque is transmitted is made as small as possible and in turn a twisting strength at the junction part between it and the coupling member 3 of the resin driving shaft 1 is substantially improved.
