    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a fork cover separately from a front fender and facilitate its installation.
      SOLUTION: A movable front fender 25, whose middle part is bolted to a bottom bridge 3, has recesses in its left and right sides in the middle part, along which front forks 2 pass and which are covered in a fork cover 26. The fork cover 26 is arranged in place, with its front-side upper and lower engaging tongues 51 and 53, a mounting projection 54 and rear-side lower engaging tongues 59 all formed on its circumferential edge being fitted in their corresponding front-side upper and lower engaging holes and rear-side upper and lower engaging holes made in the front fender 25 and with its mounting projection 54 formed just inside the front-side lower engaging tongue 53 being set on a projection 40 made on the front fender 25 and coupled thereto by a bolt 56 driven from below.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enlarge the internal storage space of a front cover and reduce the number of its components.
      SOLUTION: The front portion of a motorcycle body at which a head pipe 6 is arranged to support for turning motion a front fork 2 that supports a front wheel 1 is covered in a front cover 21 on the front side and in a leg shield 22 on the rear side. The front cover 21 is designed to have a nose 31 with forward protrusion within that of a movable front fender 25 and a left and right sides with downward protrusion beyond that of the nose 31. The back circumference of the front cover 21 thus constituted is screwed direct to the front circumference of the leg shield 22 with no support by the head pipe 6.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To protect a seat lock against tampering by coupling a seat-lock cover and a box cover tight.
      SOLUTION: A seat lock for locking the rear of a seat is mounted on a stay 45 held on a subsidiary frame 44, and a seat-lock cover 40 is placed over the seat lock. The seat-lock cover 40 is formed at its rear with a flat part 56, where mounting parts 37 in a rear cover are placed and secured with fasteners 58 down to the seat lock. The seat-lock cover 40 is also formed at its sides with grip cover parts 51 each having a cutout 52 for receiving a grab rail 12. When the seat-lock cover 40 and the rear cover are coupled together, the grip cover parts 51 close the upper section of an opening cut in the rear cover to produce no gaps permitting any access to the opening from without.
