    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an earthquake control structure subjected to earthquake control by damping the lateral deformations and vibrations of its columns as rapidly as possible, that may result from earthquakes, winds, traffic vibration and the like, without the need to divide the interior of the structure into small sections and without limitations by spaces for passages, whether the structure is new or old, so that the structure has sufficient bearing strength to resist large rotary moments, without use of ceiling beams and floor beams with strengths that are higher than necessary, if the structure is a new one, and without replacement of ceiling beams and floor beams, if the structure is an old one. SOLUTION: A building 1 includes a plurality of rectangular columns 2 disposed to extend in the vertical direction V to support the vertical load of the building 1; a plurality of beams 3 disposed to bridge the rectangular columns 2 and extend in the horizontal direction H between the columns 2; a pair of earthquake control means 6 juxtaposed on the opposite side faces 4 and 5 of a given column 2 on a given floor of the building 1, e.g. the column 2 on each floor; and two pairs of reinforcing frame means 11 stood in the vertical direction V with the earthquake control means 6 between the pairs, with one end 7 of each reinforcing frame means secured to a ceiling beam 3 and the other end 8 secured to the foundation 10 of subsoil 9.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device whose structure is simple and assembling and execution work can be easily and accurately performed and which hardly causes a resonance phenomenon to an earthquake wave and can perform the excellent base isolation function. SOLUTION: Upper and lower roller guide surfaces 3 and 4 where a lengthwise dirctional central part is formed as a recessed circular arc surface in the same direction and an extending part from its both ends is formed as a projecting circular arc surface, are formed on four-side opposed surfaces of upper and lower interposingly pressing members 1 and 2 formed in a rectangular frame shape, and cross-sectional circular rollers 5 are interposed between the respective upper and lower roller guide surfaces 3 and 4, and a base isolation mechanism is constituted, and a base isolating device is constituted by arranging this base isolation mechanism by two units by being vertically superposed on each other so that the rolling directions of the rollers 5 cross at a right angle to each other, and at earthquake happening time, longitudinal and lateral earthquake waves are absorbed and damped by rolling the rollers 5 by contacting with the respective upper and lower roller guide surfaces 3 and 4.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a base isolation device which is a simple structure and provide good base isolation performance, by forming a roller guide surface on four facing surfaces of a vertical pressing member, and combining integrally upper and lower base isolation mechanisms each other where a roller with circular section is arranged between upper roller guide surface and lower roller guide surface such that roller rolling directions of the upper and lower base isolation mechanisms cross each other. SOLUTION: In an upper base isolation mechanism A1, a roller 5 is rotatably placed between upper and lower guide surfaces 3, 4 respectively in upper and lower pressing members 1, 2. In a lower base isolation mechanism A2, similar to the upper base isolation mechanism A1, a roller 5 is rotatably placed between the upper and lower guide surfaces 3, 4 orthogonally to the rolling direction of the roller in the upper base isolation mechanism A1. A vibration damping means D is placed, so that when an earthquake stops, the roller 5 quickly stops at original standing position and the upper and lower pressing members 1, 2 are returned to their original states. This vibration damping means D consists of viscous oil 6 and a rebounding member 7, and the rebounding member 7 is integrally stuck on the center of the bottom surface in a supporting beam member 9 of the upper base isolation mechanism A1.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simply install in a simple structure by a method wherein a vertical support function is provided between the upper and the lower structures and horizontal vibration transmitted from the lower structure is dampened and kinetic energy at the upper structure arising from horizontal displacement is absorbed. SOLUTION: Load of an upper structure G is transmitted to a lower structure B through a base isolation support device, and horizontal vibration of the upper structure G is prevented. For a strong wind working at the time of typhoon or the like as a side wind on the upper structure G whereon an uplift preventing device S is installed, the upper structure G is built in lightweight while lateral rigidity is made small for the base isolation support device. For uplift arising from horizontal vibration, resistance is made by vertical rigidity of the uplift preventing device S, and the horizontal vibration is absorbed by energy absorption of the base isolation support device. When a seismic motion occurs, shaking of the upper structure G caused by vibration at a foundation B is changed into vibration of long cycle by the base isolation support device. Then vibration can be dampened by absorption of energy caused by plastic deformation of lead plugs of the base isolation support device.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide superior damping effect from slight vibration such as traffic vibration to an earthquake by providing a load support part comprising alternately laminating a viscoelastic body and a reinforcing plate and an energy absorption part arranged in the hollow part of this load support part and constituting the energy absorption part from a column-shaped lead body and a viscoelastic layer. SOLUTION: A base isolation support device 1 comprises alternately laminating a viscoelastic body 5 and a reinforcing plate 6, a reinforcement mounting plate 7 having its hole for fitting dowel pin 4 is provided at both end parts of that laminating direction, and each of component members 5 to 7 is laminated and integrated by curing and adhering them. A hollow part 8 piercing through in the laminating direction is formed at the center part of the device 1, and a lead body 10 having a viscoelastic layer 9 around its body is densely sealed in this hollow part 8. Thereby, when great horizontal displacement acts on the base isolation support device 1, for example, by a large-scale earthquake, shear deformation is generated in the reinforcing plate 6 and the viscoelastic body 5, and earthquake energy is speedily absorbed by subsequent plastic deformation of the lead body 10.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the concentration of shearing forces into a fixing means like a bolt fixing the upper and lower fitting plates of a laminated rubber support body and the fitting member of the structure side and the foundation side. SOLUTION: Fitting members 10 comprising a disk part 11 and a cylindrical part 12 are arranged in the recesses 2, 5 of the upper and lower thick reinforcing plates 4, 7 of a laminated rubber support body 1. The disk part 11 is fitted in the reinforcing thick plate and the cylindrical part is protruded from the recessed opening. And in the cylindrical parts, the upper and lower fitting plates 13, 18 with pierced holes 14, 19 are arranged. The upper and lower thick reinforcing plates of the laminated rubber support body 1 and the upper and lower fitting plates are integrally fastened by bolts. The cylindrical parts of the fitting members protruded from the pierced holes 14, 19 of the upper and lower fitting plates are fitted into the fitting holes 25, 27 of the structural member side fitting member 26 and the foundation side fitting member 24 to arrange the laminated rubber support body 1 between both fitting members. And the upper and lower fitting plates are fixed to the structure side and the foundation side fitting members respectively.
