    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rail vehicle having a sound absorbing structure capable of reducing the manufacturing cost and increasing the sound absorbing ratio in an objective frequency band.
      SOLUTION: A second sound absorbing material 20 is laminated on a first sound absorbing material 15, the surface area of the sound absorbing material exposed to the noise generated in an underfloor wheel chamber is increased corresponding to a peripheral surface part of the second sound absorbing material 20, and a top part 50a of a fixing tool 50 located in a vicinity of the increased surface area is functioned as a sound reflecting member. Thus, the ratio of the sound wave which is reflected by the reflecting member, and then, incident on the sound absorbing material and absorbed (damped) thereby is increased, and the sound absorbing ratio in the frequency band between f1 and f2 can be increased. Further, the entire thickness (the height in the vertical direction) of the sound absorbing material to a frame 18 for giving the sound source side surface of a rail vehicle is increased, and the sound absorbing ratio of the low frequency band can be increased. While suppressing the increase in the number of components as much as possible, the increase of the manufacturing cost is minimized, and the sound absorbing ratio in the frequency band for the sound absorption can be increased.

A control unit 12, to which results of detection by acceleration detecting means 11a and 11b for detecting vertical vibration acceleration of the vehicle body 3 are input for control, controls an upper and a lower hydraulic actuators 10a and 10b based on a signal compensating the control input to restrict vibration of the vehicle body 3. A selector valve is provided to communicate or shut each of hydraulic pressure chambers of the upper and the lower hydraulic actuators 10a and 10b.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a sloping device with a light-weight sloping mechanism, which is able to secure ride quality of passengers on both sides.
      SOLUTION: A vehicle body 8 is supported on a wagon frame 4 through aerial springs 5. A torsion bar is loaded on the wagon frame 4 in the cross direction of the vehicle body 8. Links 15L and 15R sloping to the inside of the vehicle body 8 at both end of the torsion bar 11 through levers 13 and 13. The upper end of the links are connected to the vehicle body 8. Thus, a rolling variation at both end of the vehicle body 8 is constrained, and deficiency of sloping angle of the links 15 is solved with its structure, which does not constrain ups and downs variation of the same phase when running on a short trajectory route as well. Occurrence of excess centrifugal acceleration, which works on the vehicle body 8, ensures proper operation of vehicle body sloping by a link mechanism. Thus, the rail road vehicle can be realized in lightweight and at reasonable cost.
