    • PURPOSE:To obtain a radiation-penetration testing apparatus, wherein the position of a focal point can be accurately determined at the inner side of an inner tube, and an annular film can be accurately positioned at the gap between an outer tube and the inner tube, when a double-tube structure is inspected using a panoramic X-ray generator. CONSTITUTION:A radiation-source positioning device 50 is constituted of an X-ray-generating-device holding support 7 and a guide member 7A, which determine a position 6 of a focal point of a panoramic X-ray generator on the central axis of an inner tube, and an X-ray-generating-device during mechanism 8, which determines the position 6 of the focal point on the plate formed of the welding center axis. An annular film holder 14 can assembled and disassembled. A roll film 16 is formed in an annular shape at the outside of the inner-tube welding part at the gap between an outer tube and the inner tube through an opening part 4 of accessing. An assembling arm 13 determines the position of the roll film 16 in the axial direction of the tube. An assembling-type supporting ring 12 determines the position in the circumferential direction. A film positioning device 51 is composed of these parts.

    • PURPOSE:To perform a test without human approaching the lower portion of the inside of a nuclear reactor by installing a flaw detection device under water from above the nuclear reactor to perform flaw detection in order to inspect an access hole cover, and achieving processes up to removal of the device through remote control. CONSTITUTION:To make sure the sanity of an access hole cover 1 mounted to a ring-shaped buffle plate 6 a welding portion 3, a flaw detection device 13 is passed through the hole of a guide block 7 and mounted on the cover 1. Remote control is performed from a fuel exchange truck 10 and the device 13 is set in a predetermined position from the truck 10 using a winch 11 and the device 13 is controlled by a controller 14. Rotary scanning by a probe 26 is done by a motor 15 for rotation and radial scanning is done by a piston 22 and ultrasonic signals of scanning are transmitted to a flaw detector on the truck 10 through a flaw detection cable 27. The motor 15 is controlled by the controller 14 via a control cable 32. The piston 22 is remote controlled by a water hose 23. Thus flaw detection can be performed wholly by remote control.

    • PURPOSE:To improve reliability of inspection by a method wherein a flaw detector is compressed when it is inserted into a hollow frustum of cone and opens until it is extended against an inner face of the structure by remote control in the vicinity of the bottom. CONSTITUTION:A slider 18 provided on a pole 8 is positioned downward when it is inserted from a top opening of a structure, while a movable arm 16 and a rim 17 stay hung downward. After the insertion, the slider 18 is pulled up by pulling up a rope 19 so that the arm 16 coupled to it is pulled up to be extended against an inner face of the structure. That is, a rotation center axis of a probe 14 and an axis of the structure are made to match each other, so that distances from the probes 14 to structure bottom welded portions 6, 7 can be kept constant. Ultrasonic waves generated from the probes 14 propagate in the water to be incident from inside the structure. One of the probes 14 is a normal type which searches for a signal from cracking or the like produced at the welded portions 6, 7 or their vicinity while the other is a high frequency probe which searches for a noise signal from the welded portions 6, 7.
