    • PURPOSE:To enhance the efficiency of storage and the workability in a drum can storage relating to a nuclear power plant, by laying rails in a multiple stages so that the rails are slightly inclined in order to allow drum cans horizontally laid to revolve on the rails, and by storing the drum cans on the rails crosswise of the latter. CONSTITUTION:Drum cans 1 introduced by a truck 5 or the like, are horizontally set on a drum can introducing lifter 3. Then the lifter 3 is lowered, and then the drum cans 1 are shifted onto the lowermost guide rail 2, and therefore, the dead weight of the drum cans allows the same to roll on the rail 2 leftward until they are stopped by a movable stopper 7. Thus, the drum cans 1 are stored successively on guide rails 2 in several stages. upon delivery of the drum cans, the inclination of the guide rails 2 is changed over so as to shift the drum cans 1 onto the lifter 3 for delivering the same. Further, the interstage movement of the drum cans is performed by a interstage lifter 6. With this arrangement, it is possible to aim at enhancing the efficiency of storage and the workability.

    • PURPOSE:To efficiently save a storing space of drum cans, by vertically stacking a plurality of drum cans and connecting the same with each other by means of palettes intervening therebetween. CONSTITUTION:A palette P is provided with four circular recesses on both upper and lower surfaces thereof, respectively. Each recess is formed in such a size that the peripheral rim portion of drum cans is appropriately received therein. In each recess, there are disposed a central pushbutton 4 and four connecting plates 2 which serves as connecting means between the palette and can and extend radially from the central pushbutton. The palette is also provided with four bores 3 at its corner edges, through which anchor bolts are inserted and threaded into the floor. When the end of the drum can is placed in the recess, the pushbutton is depressed due to the tare of the can. As a result, while a roller 8 of the connecting plate 2 rides over the sloped side wall of the pushbutton, the connecting plates are displaced inwardly to the pushbutton because they are biased toward the center of the recess by means of the spring 7. At this time, a hook 9 formed at the opposite end of the connecting plate is engaged with the rim portion of the drum can to thereby establish a secure connection between the palette P and the drum can D. Since the lowermost palette is anchored to the floor by bolts 10 inserted through the bores 3, a plurality of the drum cans stacked by intervention of palettes are, as a whole, securely fixed on the floor.

      CONSTITUTION: Flange joints (flange 14 of an underside shell, a flange 16 of an upperside shell or an exit nozzle 19) are provided at an outer shell (underside shell 2 or upperside shell 4) of a strainer 8 so as to take off the strainer 8 simultaneously with the shell 4. When disassembling the strainer 8; bolts for the exit nozzle flange 19 and the flange 14 of the underside shell are removed to take off the strainer 8 together with the shell 4 simultaneously by using a hanger 13.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the work period needed for the construction of a scaffold for the inspection and examination of a bleeding pipe, a feed water heater, etc., and to lower the exposure amount, by constructing support members to be provided in a condenser of nuclear facilities in such a way that the support members cab also be used as a scaffold. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of supporting pipes 2 as the support members are welded to an upper drum 1 of the condenser, a heater 3 is installed in the lower part through supporting members 5, and a piping 4 is united to the heater 3. A plurality of the supporting pipes 2 are constructed in a form of a latticework when viewed from the top, and are also arranged one above another so that a scaffold conforming to the size stipulated in JIS is constructed. Therefore in case when periodic inspection is performed, examination or the like is carried out with respect to the bleeding pipe, the feed water heater, etc., the work for the construction of a scaffold can be omitted or simplified.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to minimize the period of entrance in the condenser and the degree of radioactive contamination by a method wherein the condenser used in an atomic power plant, a water passage is formed by support members within the condenser and means for supplying cooling water or air through the water passage is provided. CONSTITUTION:A number of support pipes 2 are welded to the inside of the upper trunk 1 of the condenser and a heater 3, a pipe 4 and the support member 5 are arranged within the upper trunk 1. The support pipes 2 are fabricated by using pipe joints to thereby provide the fluid passage extending vertically and horizontally. In this case, at least one of the pies 2 or preferably all of the pipes 2 are connected to a cooling water or air system 6. With the above structure, in case where an on-the-spot-working is performed in the condenser, the operation of the condenser is stopped and a pump 9 is driven by opening a changeover valve 8 whereupon the support pipes 2 function as cooling pipes so that the temperature in the condenser lowers rapidly. Consequently, the working environment within the condenser can be improved and the working time can be shortened.
