    • PURPOSE:To reduce effectively oxygen dissolved in feed water by effectively warming the feed water to be sent to a daerator with auxiliary steam and evacuating the inside of the deaerator with a deaerator vent system. CONSTITUTION:The lower end part of a feed water communicative pipe 10 for communicating a deaeration chamber 1 with a water storage tank 12 is led below the water surface in the water storage tank 12, (a) a vent pipe 14 provided with an orifice 14a and a stop valve 15 for the vent pipe and (b) a start-up vent pipe 16 furnished with a stop valve 17 for the vent pipe are arranged in parallel between the deaeration chamber 1 and a condenser and a pipe 18 for supplying heated steam to the deaeration chamber 1 is provided. The feed water deaeration device is used for heating the feed water to a boiler. When the boiler is started, the valve 17 is opened and a part of heated steam is introduced into the water storage tank 12. Consequently, time necessary for deaeration and cleanup at startup can be reduced, the amt. of auxiliary steam is saved and the cost of in-plant boiler equipment can be reduced.

    • PURPOSE: To enhance the degree of vacuum of the turbines accurately and in a simple manner without lowering the degree of vacuum of a condenser by a method wherein exhaust chambers of the turbines are connected to condenser air extracting device.
      CONSTITUTION: In case the degree of vacuum of each of the turbines 5a and 5b for driving the water feeding pumps 6a and 6b is enhanced, casing drain valves 12a and 12b are gradually opened first of all and then the exhaut chambers of the turbines 5a and 5b for driving the water feed pumps 6a and 6b are exhausted, casing drain valves 12a and 12b are gradually opened and then the exhaust chambers of the turbines 5a and 5b are evacuated through the operations of the condenser air extracting devices 7a and 7b. In this case, at least one of the devices 7a and 7b is always operated during the operation of the related plant and the degree of vacuum at the entrance of each of the devices 7a and 7b is held higher than that of the condenser 3 so as to prevent the lowering of the degree of vacuum of the condenser 3. With the above arrangement, in case where the degree of vacuum of each of the turbines 5a and 5b becomes approximately same with that of the condenser 3, drain valves 14a and 14b, balancing valves 10a and 10b and exhaust check valves 9a and 9b are opened in sequence in that order.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten the startup time of the plant while dispensing with the air ejector by two systems; one for continuously feeding confining water to a vacuum pump from a replenishing water feeder and the other for recovering thereof to a replenishing water tank. CONSTITUTION:Branched off a replenishing water piping 28 to a condenser 3, a confining water piping 12 is provided to feed a confining water type vacuum pump with water fed to a replenshing tank as the confining water supply source to the vaccum pump. The confining water piping is provided with a confining water feed pump 23 and a confining water regulating valve 20 to continuously feed the vacuum pump with the confining water. In addition, the confining water discharged with air extracted by the vacuum pump is withdrawn by a confining water recovery pump 21 carried on a confining water recovery piping 22 connected to the bottom of a demister 4 and returned to the replenishing water tank 18.
