    • PURPOSE:To enable an opening or closing valve to be opened and a water discharging operation to be performed, and the opneing or closing valve is closed to enable either one of a normal and back-washing operation to be performed by a method wherein the opening or closing valve is arranged in a connection pipe for connecting from the water return water chamber of the condenser to the water discharging passage. CONSTITUTION:A connection pipe 7 having a stop valve 8 is connected to the water discharging pipe 6 from the cooling water return chamber of a condensor 5. In case of performing a reverse flashing in the condenser, the position of the valve body 4 of the flashing valve 3 is changed over from the normal washing position to the back washing position and at the same time the stop valve 8 is opened. The cooling water is flowed in the same manner as that of the normal washing just after the valve 4 is started to move from the port P1 to P2 and then a part of the cooling water is passed through the connection pipe 7 into the water discharging pipe 6. Subsequently, the valve 4 is gradually moved and when it is placed at a substantially intermediate position, the normal washing force from the port A to the port B and the reverse flashing force are balanced, and the stop valve 8 is opened, thereby the cooling water and a part of the cooling water from the port A to the port C are passed through the connection pipe 7 and into the water discharging pipe 6. Further, the valve body 4 is moved and the port P2 is closely contacted with the valve, and then the cooling water is flowed from the port A to the port B and the bacck washing condition of the water is attained.
