    • PURPOSE:To precisely detect a getter flashed state with an inexpensive device by detecting the fluctuation of the basic wave and higher harmonics of a high frequency output carried to a load coil for heating a getter material. CONSTITUTION:A high frequency, current in a load coil 5 is detected by a detecting coil 31. The frequency difference of the fundamental wave of the detected high frequency output 31a with the output 35a of a standard oscillator 35 is determined by a frequency comparator 32, and the fluctuating amount of the initial fundamental wave is inputted to a frequency-voltage converter 36 as a DC output 32a, and then inputted to a processing device 37 as a voltage output 36a. The third and fifth higher harmonics of the high frequency output 31a detected by the coil 31 are taken out by band filters 33, 34, detected by wave detectors 38, 39, and inputted to the device 37 as wave detection outputs 38a, 39a. The device 37 compares the outputs 36a, 38a, 39a with the standard values, determines the time of reacting a light emitting state when the fusion and evaporation of a getter material 4 is started, and outputs it as a getter flash output to a control device by the output 37a.

    • PURPOSE:To shorten time of transfer operation and to prevent adverse effect on a color cathode ray tube by optically detecting the inclination of the color cathode ray tube, and modifying the angle to accord the holding part with the inclination of the color cathode ray tube by the results of this detection. CONSTITUTION:A holding part 5 is provided freely in rotation at a movable part 3 through a ball joint 4, and the holding part 5 sucks a color cathode ray tube 1 by vacuum by ON-OFF of a vacuum means, and an angle modification part 6 to rotate the holding part 5 is attached to the movable part 3. When the movable part 3 lowers and the holding part 5 abuts on the color cathode ray tube 1, the holding part 5 becomes vacuum, and the holding part 5 sucks the color cathode ray tube 1. That is, the holding part 5 is modified in accordance with the posture of the color cathode ray tube 1. The color cathode ray tube 1 is held steadily by the holding part 5, and the holding operation can be done promptly, and the time can be shortened. Also since the color cathode ray tube 1 is not rectified mechanically, the color cathode ray tube 1 does not suffer adverse effect.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress occurrence waveform distortion by allowing an address generating circuit to access a focus data storage memory based on an address generated by horizontal and vertical deflection signals and applying an optimum focus voltage in a division area obtained from read data to a focus electrode. SOLUTION: A deflection yoke 6 of a cathode ray tube 1 deflects an electron beam emitted from an electron gun 5 while being subject to intensity modulation with an image signal from a video circuit 7 into two directions, horizontal and vertical directions to display an image on a screen 1a. The screen 1a is divided into a plurality of areas in horizontal and vertical directions and a focus voltage optimum to each area is applied to a focus electrode of the electron gun 5. A focus voltage from a focus voltage generating circuit 4 is generated by an address outputted from an address generating circuit 2 based on a horizontal deflection signal fH and a vertical deflection signal fV. Thus, the focus on the entire screen is improved and display with high image quality is conducted.

    • PURPOSE:To ensure generation of knocking from a lower electrode so as to prevent stray malfunction in a knocking process of a cathode-ray tube by applying a voltage to be applied to anode to a lower electrode of convergence voltage and the like while separating the voltage into partial divided voltage with high resistance. CONSTITUTION:At the initial time when a voltage Eb is applied to an anode, electric potential difference VG6-3 and VG3 are respectively 30KV and 15KV while the partial divided voltage according to respective resistance values are EbXR2/(R2+R3). Electric discharge occurred between the anode G6 and converging electrodes G5/G3, or leakage in current occurred. All the resistance between the converging electrodes and earth becomes low thereby and the electric potential difference VG6-3 becomes high while the difference VG3 becomes low. At every time such phenomena occur continuously in sequence, spark discharge is generated repeatedly from the electrodes G5/G3 to shielding electrodes G2/G4, and thus knocking with respect to the shielding electrode is carried out effectively. It is thus possible to prevent stray malfunction from the shielding electrodes.
