    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an engine controller and a screening method wherein a voltage switching command signal for screening is positively and reliably realized by a simple system without requiring an exclusive input terminal.
      SOLUTION: The engine controller 107 is provided with integrated circuits 200, 112 and 113 inputted with various types of sensor signals via input terminals 20-0 to 20-n to carry out arithmetic processes necessary for control, and an output voltage regulating circuit 250 for selectively setting a rated voltage used in normal operation and a rated voltage for screening. When a predetermined signal level not used in the normal operation is inputted in one or more of the sensor signal input terminals 20-0 to 20-2 used in the normal operation, a CPU 200 issues a command to the output voltage regulating circuit 250 to switch to the rated voltage for screening.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that though an electronic part is miniaturized accompanying the miniaturization of a substrate, a section between electrodes for the electronic part is narrowed by the miniaturization of the electronic part and an electrical short circuit is generated between the electrodes by the surface tension of a connecting member such as solder or a conductive paste material containing metallic particles such as Ag, Cu, Ni or the like.
      SOLUTION: In a method of mounting the electronic part for the substrate, the shape of a printing mask for coating a conductor on the substrate side or the connecting member is formed in a triangle or a semicircle, the radius of the semicircle to the lateral-direction size of the part or the height size of the triangle is formed in 1/2Y to a size (Y) in the lateral direction, and the flow of a mounting member between the electrodes is inhibited. Even when the substrate is miniaturized and the electronic part mounted on the substrate is miniaturized, the electrical short circuit between the electrodes for the part is prevented, the durability of the substrate and the electronic part is not damaged and the part can be mounted with a high reliability.
