CONSTITUTION:Helium plenum 43 is provided for every double-heat transfer tube 1. Therefore, it is possible to identify the outer pipe 21 of a double-heat transfer tube 1 by discriminating which helium plenum 43 has lowered its pressure when the outer pipe 21 of the double heat transfer tube 1 is damaged during operation. Furthermore, the clearance between the inner surface of the outer pipe 21 of the double-heat transfer tube land the outer surface of the inner tube is filled with helium whose pressure is identical to plenum 43 or the plenum is flowing in the clearance. As helium flows out from this clearance to the side of sodium, the pressure of helium drops. It is, therefore, possible to detect the damage of the outer pipe of the double-heat transfer tube 1 in an early stage.

    • PURPOSE:To enable smooth adaption to changes in the inner diameter of a tube, by arranging a centering fin to be expanded or reduced freely with the tube utilizing a force of a fluid therein and hold an ultrasonic probe at a correct position. CONSTITUTION:A pair of taper guides 4 each having a tapered surface mounted concentrically are provided on both end faces of an ultrasonic probe body 2. A pair of centering fins 3 have an outer cylindrical section 3b to be inserted internally into a tube 1 to be inspected and an inner cylindrical section 3c to be inserted externally into the taper guides 4 connected with a pressure receiving section 3a. The outer cylindrical section 3b is provided with a through hole 6. The centering fins 3 is divided into two circumferentially. The taper guides 4 each have a dowel groove-shaped tapered groove 5 and holds the centering fins 3 thus divided into two. Then, as the inner cylindrical section 3c slides along the tapered surface of the taper guide 4 with the centering member 3 receiving a force of a fluid, the diameter of the outer cylindrical section 3b is expanded or reduced thereby always holding the probe body 2 at a proper position.

    • PURPOSE:To perform highly reliable inspection by searching the maximum amplitude value among signals which are detected from the same signal source with a plurality of transmitting and receiving channels in real time, and automatically calibrating the sensitivity. CONSTITUTION:In a probe 2, one - N pieces of transmitting and receiving parts 201 are arranged on the circumference of the probe. The transmitting and receiving operations of each channel are electronically switched. An ultrasonic wave beam is rotated and scanned at a high speed. The received signals in each channel are outputted through a piece of cable in time series. A reference defect is provided in a sensitivity calibrating test piece 1. When the probe 2 passes the test piece 1 and a detected echo signal is obtained from the reference defect, a maximum-amplitude searching circuit 13 takes out the maximum amplitude in the same channel. A gain-correction setting circuit 14 outputs data for correcting the amplitude gain of a sensitivity averaging circuit 8 based on the obtained value. The sensitivity of each channel is corrected with the circuit 8 based on said data. The echo signal which is obtained from the reference defect can be adjusted so that a specified wave height value is obtained on the screen of a display part 12.

    • PURPOSE:To secure the excellent functioning of the heat transmitting pipe by a method wherein friction at a sliding part is turned into rolling friction by a spherical ball and the vibration of the heat transmitting pipe is softened by the resilience of a load absorbing spring. CONSTITUTION:In case a contact between the heat transmitting pipe 5 and the heat transmitting pipe supporting fixture 19 is caused by liquid vibration in the heat transmiting pipe or the vibration upon earthquake, the vibration is transmitted through the spherical ball bearing 21, contacting with the sliding surface of the heat transmitting pipe, and the load absorbing spring 20 provided in the heat transmitting pipe supporting fixture and is softened by the resilience of the spring before it is transmitted to the heat transmitting pipe supporting fixture 19, therefore, the heat transmitting pipe 5 will never contact with the fixture 19 directly and thereby securing the excellent functioning of the heat transmitting pipe 5 for a long period of time.
