    • PURPOSE:To form a heat exchanger under excellent workability by a simple device by fixing one end of a heat exchanger tube shorter than a normal heat exchanger tube on a tube plate of one side and subsequently, heating a part of the heat exchanger tube and extending the other end up to the appropriate position with an opposite side tube plate to fix it on the tube plate. CONSTITUTION:The body 2 is welded to a couple of tube plates 1a and 1b and in consideration of assembling accuracy and contraction by welding and expansion length by heating in advance, the heat exchanger tube 3 whose both end faces are machined to the length shorter somewhat than the normal heat exchanger tube is inserted from a heat exchanger tube insertion hole of the tube plate 1b of one side and its one end face is welded and fixed to be tube plate 1b. The other end face of the heat exchanger tube 3 is in a state shorter by d1 than the appropriate position with respect to the tube plate 1a and the end face of the heat exchanger tube 3 is extended up to the appropriate position of the tube plate 1b by heating by a heating source 4 and the pertinent distance D between the tube plate 1b and the end face of the heat exchanger tube 3 is maintained. In this state, the end face of the heat exchanger tube 3 is welded and fixed to the tube plate 1a to complete assembling of the tube plates of the heat exchanger with the heat exchanger tube.

    • PURPOSE:To enable smooth adaption to changes in the inner diameter of a tube, by arranging a centering fin to be expanded or reduced freely with the tube utilizing a force of a fluid therein and hold an ultrasonic probe at a correct position. CONSTITUTION:A pair of taper guides 4 each having a tapered surface mounted concentrically are provided on both end faces of an ultrasonic probe body 2. A pair of centering fins 3 have an outer cylindrical section 3b to be inserted internally into a tube 1 to be inspected and an inner cylindrical section 3c to be inserted externally into the taper guides 4 connected with a pressure receiving section 3a. The outer cylindrical section 3b is provided with a through hole 6. The centering fins 3 is divided into two circumferentially. The taper guides 4 each have a dowel groove-shaped tapered groove 5 and holds the centering fins 3 thus divided into two. Then, as the inner cylindrical section 3c slides along the tapered surface of the taper guide 4 with the centering member 3 receiving a force of a fluid, the diameter of the outer cylindrical section 3b is expanded or reduced thereby always holding the probe body 2 at a proper position.
