    • PURPOSE:To prevent any accident of a high temperature apparatus, by measuring the displacement and the temperature of a target member of assessment such as a metallic construction or the like to which a repetitive load is applied for a long period under high temperature atmosphere, and assessing and displaying excess life until generation of cracks thereon from the result of the above measurement. CONSTITUTION:A displacement measuring device 14 is provided so as to measure displacement of a target member of assessment of a power generation plant turbine etc., to which a repetitive load is applied for a long period under high temperature atmosphere, so that the output signal therefrom is inputted into an arithmetic processing control device 17 thought an amplifier 15 and a signal converter 16. A temperature measuring device 20 is also provided so as to measure the temperature of a part to be assessed in the target member of assessment, so that the output signal therefrom is inputted into the arithmetic processing control device 17 through a signal converter 21. Here at, a displacement amount is calculated in form of a notch opening displacement ratio or a notch opening displacement speed, so that the remaining life until generation of cracks thereon generating life of the target member of assessment, and the remaing life until the maximum allowable dimension of crack takes place, are judged by a judging device 19 on the basis of calculation result, while the judged result is displayed on a display device 22.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence or progress of a crack in a key groove part through prevention of entrance of steam into a gap between the end faces of the hub parts of shrunk wheels, by a method wherein an expansion plate is mounted in said gap. CONSTITUTION:A large low pressure shrunk wheel, especially the rotor of a steam turbine for atomic power brought into a wet steam state is constituted such that a moving blade 1 is mounted to a wheel 2 which is fitted in a shaft 3. In order to prevent movement, in the direction of rotation, of the wheel 2, a key groove 5 is provided in the wheel 2 and the shaft 3, and an axial key 4 is mounted. Further, an expansion plate mounting groove 7 is machined in a hub part on the outer periphery side of a space between the wheels 2. An expansion plate 8, made of a material having high corrosion resistance, is mounted in the groove 7. This prevents entrance of steam into the key groove 5 through between the wheels 2, and permits prevention of the occurrence of a crack in the key groove 5.

    • PURPOSE:To lower the stress caused at the base portion without causing profile loss of the rotor blade, by providing an arrangement for rotor blades of turbine, in which rotor blade is formed with projection in the direction of thickness on the wall surface near the base portion of an erosion-preventive plate located on the side of rotor, so as to increase the cross section of rotor blade at the portion as compared with that of the other portion. CONSTITUTION:In rotor blades 2 of turbine made of titanium alloy steel, which are fixed around the rotor and have an erosion-preventive plate 1 welded (at 4) at its top, projection 7 is formed on the wall surface of rotor blade 2 on the steam inlet side at the base portion of the erosion-preventive plage 1 located on the side of rotor, in the manner that it is projected in the direction of thickness of the blade 1. With such an arrangement, thickness of the plate 1 from the base portion 1a to the top can be made substantially equal to that of rotor blade 2, but thickness (t2) of projection 7 is made larger than that (t1) of plate 1 in the region near the base portion 1a of plate 1, so that cross section of the rotor blade can be increased at the region. Therefore, fairly high stress exerted on the rotor blades can be lowered effectively.
