摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the volume reducibility of pellets without adding a binder thereto by adding a prescribed volume of water to incineration ashes and subjecting the ashes to compression molding, then curing the formed pellets hermetically for a prescribed period of time. CONSTITUTION:A constant feeding valve 4 is operated to transfer the whole amt. of the incineration ashes from a measuring device 3 to a mixer 5. While agitating vanes 7 are rotated by operating a motor 8, the prescribed volume of the waster is added to the ashes from spray nozzles 6 via a constant feeding pump 20 from a water storage tank 9. The incineration ashes absorbing the water are pelletized by using a pelletizer 11. The pellets are filled in a container 13; thereafter, the container is capped and the pellets are cured in a hermetic state.

摘要： PURPOSE:To easily and effectively detect the fatigue of an elbow by adhering a plurality of strain metering elements to the elbow of piping such that they are broken for different strains, thereby to electrically detect the breakage of the elements due to fatigue. CONSTITUTION:The piping system, which is composed of an elbow 1 and two straight pipes 2 connected to the both ends thereof, is covered with a heat insulating material 3. In order to detect the fatigue at the point A where the initial fatigue cracking is most liable to take place, a plurality of strain guages 4 to 8 each having one strain metering element are arranged at a preset spacing on the sides of the elbow 1 and the straight tubes 2 consecutively from the point A. The number of the strain guages is determined in accordance with the detecting accuracy required. The strains detected by the gauges 4 to 8 are continuously recorded in a recorder in accordance with the known strain measuring method. From the recorded results, the fatigue of the elbow can be deduced.

By this method, the fatigue damage degree of the elbow of a piping system covered with a heat insulating material and used at high temp. can be simply detected and monitored.

摘要： PURPOSE:To make circumferentially uniform the temperature distribution of a piping for leading a liquid that has overflowed from a prescribed level of liquid in a tank so as to prevent the piping from locally diformation, by providing means within the piping for stirring the liquid in the piping. CONSTITUTION:In an overflow system of an FBR atomic power piping, the liquid in a tank 2 is introduced via suction pipe 4 into the container 1 to be kept there to a certain level at all times. The liquid overflowed from the liquid surface of the container 1 is returned via a return pipe 3 to the tank 2. In this piping system, spirals 5, that is, the stirring means are arranged within the return pipe 3, especially, within the horizontal section of the pipe where both gas and liquid layer streams occurs. Accordingly, in the upper and lower parts of the piping 3, the rates of heat transfer from the streams to the pipe, particular wall parts, become uniform, and therefore local deformation of warping of the piping due to the ununiform temprature distribution in the piping wall can be prevented.

摘要： PURPOSE:To relieve the impact at pellet falling and to prevent breakage by providing a ladder shooter on the mid-point of a pellet falling passage. CONSTITUTION:The radioactive waste liquid is transferred from a radioactive waste liquid storage tank 1 which stores the radioactive waste liquid generated in an atomic power plant into a supply tank 3 by a waste liquid transfer pump 2. The waste liquid stored therein is fed to a constant feed pump 4 and is dried and pulverized by a centrifugal thin film dryer 5. The powder is then pelletized by a pelletizer 6. The pellets produced by the pelletizer 6 are passed through the ladder shooter 7 and are packed into a drum can 8. The pellets fall while colliding against the ladders in the casing of the ladder shooter 7 and can be thereby reduced in the falling speed and, therefore, the falling impact at the time of falling and packing into a drum can is relieved. The breakage of the pellets is thus prevented.

The powder transfer device having an upward grade with respect to the transfer direction is provided under a hopper 2 and the cleaning water is recovered by the pressurizing force from the dry pressurized air supplying device 2 and the gravity into a cleaning liquid feed water tank 5 provided to a low point part, by which the leakage of the water to the solidifying device 4 side is prevented.
