    • PURPOSE:To reduce position error generated by temperature difference between disk by detecting temperature difference between disks by a thermocouple, heating a head arm in response to an electromotive force produced in the thermocouple and controlling the amount of thermal expansion. CONSTITUTION:An electromotive force in response to the temperature difference of a space between disks, e.g., D1, and D2, is generated from different kinds of metals 11 and 12 constituting the thermocouple. The constitution is that a high gain differential amplifier 14 and a current drive circuit 15 receiving this potential difference flow a current in response to the temperature difference to a heater fitted to an arm at a low temperature side. When the heater 16 fitted to the arm is heated, a heater section attains automatic compensation by a heat deprived by wind or the like being balanced with the heating at the same time. The positioning error due to temperature difference is compensated by simple constitution in this way, allowing to improve the positioning accuracy.

    • PURPOSE:To realize a high-speed access with a simple circuit constitution, by setting a deceleration curve at a low level in response to the deceleration/ acceleration speed and then resetting the low deceleration curve to its original curve after a fixed time when the moving speed reaches a prescribed level. CONSTITUTION:The signal given from a circuit 10 which generates the voltage equivalent to the distance up to a target point is set at the set deceleration level 12 when switches 4 and 7 are opened with switches 5 and 6 closed respectively. The switch 4, if closed, functions to reduce the level 12 by the signal given from a circuit 9 which generates the voltage equivalent to the deceleration/acceleration corresponding to a deceleration curve. Therefore the deceleration value is reset to the set value of speed 2 by opening the switch 4 with a signal 8 showing that the level 12 has reached a point B'. In such a way, an overshoot is reduced to suppress a sudden change of current. Thus a high-speed access is possible with a simple circuit constitution.
