    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating and irradiating apparatus which performs irradiation with a charged particle beam with a light weight and high positional precision and which is used for particle beam therapy.
      SOLUTION: The rotating and irradiating apparatus is provided with: a rotating gantry 1 to which a charged particle beam irradiation apparatus 8 and beam transportation apparatuses 9 and 10 guiding the charged particle beam to the irradiation apparatus 8 are fitted; and a rotary body supporting apparatus 16 having a rotatable roller 12 supporting the rotating gantry 1 contacting with an annular member included in the rotating gantry 1. The rotating and irradiating apparatus is further provided with: a front ring 3 contacting with the roller 12 of the rotary body supporting apparatus 16 at one end part in the axial direction of the rotation gantry 1; a rear ring 4 contacting with the roller 12 of the rotary body supporting apparatus 16 at the other end part in the axial direction of the rotation gantry 1; and at least one middle ring 5 contacting with the roller 12 of the rotary body supporting apparatus 16 at a different position in the axial direction of the rotation gantry 1 between the front ring 3 and the rear ring 4.

These radial supporting devices 61A and 61B have linear guides 41, respectively. In the radial supporting devices 61A and 61B, an upper part supporting body above the linear guide 41 is movably installed in the rotary shaft direction of the rotary gantry 3 in the lower part supporting body below the linear guide 41.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the area for installing equipment for treating radioactive wastes. SOLUTION: A container 1 stowing a radioactive waste such as hull and the like is loaded by being inserted into a metal mold 51 of a flat car 5 for conveying the container 1 and closing a top cover 53 with a container loading device 40. The inside of the container 1 is approximately vacuum. The flat car 5 for conveying the container 1 moves to a container compressing device 30, and the metal mold 51 is set in a prescribed position inside the container compressing device 30. The container 1 in the metal mold 51 is compressed by raising a compression rod 37 of the container compressing device 30. An opening is formed by moving the top cover 53, and the container 1 compressed by raising the compression rod 37 of the container compressing device 30 is ejected out of the metal mold 51. A process of loading the container 1 is carried out by a container hoisting and lowering device 40, and the processes of compressing and taking out the container 1 are carried out by the container compressing device 30. Only two devices such as the container hoisting and lowering device 40 and the container compressing device 30 are required to be installed, which significantly reduces the area for installing the equipment for compressing radioactive wastes.     • PURPOSE:To eliminate exclusive driving means for feeding of an additive by pressing the additive against the bottom of concave part of casting wheel of a rotary caster. CONSTITUTION:With the rotation of a casting wheel 4, an additive 11 pressed against the bottom of a concave part 4A of the casting wheel 4 by a pair of pinch rollers energized by a cylinder is pulled by rotating force of the casting wheel 4 and drawn out of a drum 12. The additive then moves, while bending and deforming, along the bottom of a concave part 4A of the casting wheel 4, and is immersed in molten metal 7 in a mold 9 and is melted in the metal 7 by the heat. Thus, the additive is pushed forward by rotating force of the casting wheel and consequently, no driving source is necessary for feeding the additive.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the degradation in working environment during supplying of cooling fluid and improve working efficiency by preventing the cooling fluid fed into a slit for cooling the casting ring from scattering by the guide part for preventing fluid scattering, at the time of releasing said cooling fluid from the inside of the spindle of the casting ring to the outside circumference. CONSTITUTION:A casting ring 3 is rotated by the rotative driving means provided to one end part of a spindle 1, following to which cooling fluid A is fed into the rotary joint 8 provided to the other end part of the sindle 1. Next, the fluid A fed into the joint 8 is sent into a slit 7 through a supply hole 9 and a flexible hose 10, whereby the ingot passing the inside of a recess 6 is cooled. Following to this, the fluid A having finished cooling is sent from the required place of the slit 7 to a discharge hole 22 via a flexible hose 21 and is released 23 into the atmosphere through its left end part. This released fluid A is then gathered in the lower part of a guide part 24 without being scattered to the surroundings by the action of the guide part 24, and exhausted to the direction arrowed with C, and is recovered in a recovery tank. The scattering of the fluid A in a lateral direction from the clearance between the guide part 24 and the spindle 1 is prevented by a drain board 26.

CONSTITUTION:A dot input operation is carried out by an input pen 3 at the lower right corner of an input area 2 before input of a character pattern or concurrently with input of the character pattern as an operation which shows the input of a half size character. If a dot is already inputted in the lower right corner area, the input data are defined as the input of a half size character. Meanwhile the input data are defined as the input of a full size character when a normal input operation is carried out instead of the dot input operation. An input decision control part 6 decides through an input control, part 4 that the input data stored in an input memory 5 are identical with the half size character data when a dot input operation is already carried out. Thus the part 6 outputs a half size character input signal 11 to a recognition control part 8.
