    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-blowing breaker, capable of obtaining a disconnecting property equal to or higher than the case of using an SF 6 gas, using alternative gas as arc-extinguishing gas. SOLUTION: A gas-blowing disconnecting part 1 and a gas-blowing disconnecting part 2 are arranged in series between bushing terminals 24, an alternative gas that is superior in a BTF disconnecting property is sealed in the disconnecting part 1 as the arc-extinguishing gas; and alternative gas that is superior in an SLF disconnecting property is sealed in the disconnecting part 2 as the arc-extinguishing gas. Since the gas-blowing part 1 and the gas- blowing part 2 are electrically connected in series, the gas-blowing breaker is obtained, which is superior in both the SLF disconnecting property and the BTF disconnecting property and has the disconnecting property equal to or higher than the case using the SF 6 gas. SOLUTION: The puffer type gas-blast circuit breaker has a stationary arc contact, a movable arc contact brought into contact with/separated from the stationary arc contact, a first piston installed on the side of the movable arc contact and reciprocating relative to a first cylinder within the cylinder, a second piston coupled to the movable arc contact and reciprocating relative to a second cylinder within the cylinder, a hole for the first cylinder, which is formed in the first cylinder and enables the effluence of arc-extinguishing bas blown upon an arc generating part for generating an arc when the stationary arc contacts are opened and separated from each other, and a communication passage for allowing the arc generating part to communicating with the inside of the second cylinder. The circuit breaker is provided characteristically with a pressure response valve for opening/closing the communication passage, according to the gas pressure of the arc-generating part.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-blast circuit-breaker with small size, high electrode- to-electrode insulation recovering performance in current breaking, and high insulation to the earth performance. SOLUTION: Gas generating in current breaking is exhausted to the inside of an exhaust tube structure part 1 through a communicating port 8 formed in a fixed side supporting member 6 combined with a fixed arc contact 4 or the like. A flow path cross section enlargement part of the exhaust tube structure part 1 to the exhaust tube flow path cross section S1 in the connecting part with the fixed side supporting member 6 is arranged in front of the position at least 1/2 the total length of the exhaust tube structure part 1, and uniformly enlarged toward the rear of the exhaust tube structure part 1. As a result, gas is quickly exhausted to the inside of the exhaust tube structure part 1, and an electrode-to-electrode insulation recovering characteristic is enhanced. In the case that the exhaust tube structure part 1 is constituted with a plurality of exhaust tubes and a plurality of members and an exhaust tube in the final part 17 is constituted with an insulator, the electric field concentration in the exhaust tube end part is suppressed, and the whole gas-blast circuit-breaker is made small.

    • PURPOSE:To compensate waveform distortion due to arc voltage of cut-off current and exactly evaluate original break performance even at a large capacity breaker by connecting other reactor in series for changing the value of a reactor for current limiting which is inserted in a current source circuit. CONSTITUTION:In series of a reactor 51 in a current source circuit, a series circuit of a reactor 52 and closing switch 53 is connected and when there is no arc voltage of a breaker, the reactor 51 is controlled so as to be able to send a predetermined current. When a breaking current is sent and a tested breaker is opened, arc voltage increases with electrode distance and the distortion of the actual break current from a desired waveform becomes large in the final current half wave immediately before the completion of the cutting. If a switch 53 is closed immediately before the final half wave to reduce the value of the reactor 51 for current limiting, the breaking current waveform can be roughly adjusted to the desired waveform. Even for performance test of a large capacity breaker, the break performance of an original breaker can be exactly evaluated by this.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the breaking performance of a puffer type gas-blast circuit-breaker and also to prevent lowering the insulating performance thereof by forming a gap in an insulating nozzle or the like in contact with a commutating member in such a manner that a downstream portion against an upstream portion on the side of a puffer cylinder may be enlarged. CONSTITUTION:A puffer type gas-blast circuit-breaker has a puffer chamber 3 formed by a puffer cylinder l and a stationary piston 2, and the puffer cylinder 1 is fitted with a mover 4, an insulating nozzle 5 and a cover 6 respectively. The puffer cylinder 1 is provided with also a stator 7 which can make and break contact with the mover 4. The puffer cylinder 1 has plural air supply ports 9 communicating with a flow passage 8 which is formed between the insulating nozzle 5 and the cover 6 arranged on the circumference of a circle being described by the air supply ports. Furthermore, the flow passage 8 is provided with a commutating member 5a which is formed in one united body with the insulating nozzle 5 and is set in a position without the air supply port 9. A gap 5b is formed between the commutating member 5a and the cover 6 in such a manner that a downstream portion against an upstream portion on the side of the puffer cylinder 1 may be enlarged.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a highly reliable current supply system, in which overvoltage can be suppressed drastically, by disposing an overvoltage suppressor comprising a switching means and an impedance between the bus side or the transmission line side or the both sides of a circuit breaker and the ground. CONSTITUTION:Resistors 8a, 8b are provided through switches 7a, 7b between a main circuit connecting circuit breakers 3a, 3b and transmission lines 2a, 2b and the ground thus constituting an overvoltage suppressor. When the circuit breaker functions, the resistor 8b is inserted between a sound line and the ground and the resistor 8a is connected with a fault line. Consequently, transient oscillation on the power supply side is damped through the resistor 8b connected with the sound transmission line thus lowering the amplitude. Reciprocal oscillation of voltage in the sound transmission line is also damped. Reciprocal reflective oscillation on the side of fault transmission line is damped through the resistor 8a and the voltage to be induced in the fault transmission line by the reciprocal oscillation voltage is suppressed. According to the invention, ground fault interrupting surge is suppressed drastically as compared with conventional one.
