    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas-blowing breaker, capable of obtaining a disconnecting property equal to or higher than the case of using an SF 6 gas, using alternative gas as arc-extinguishing gas. SOLUTION: A gas-blowing disconnecting part 1 and a gas-blowing disconnecting part 2 are arranged in series between bushing terminals 24, an alternative gas that is superior in a BTF disconnecting property is sealed in the disconnecting part 1 as the arc-extinguishing gas; and alternative gas that is superior in an SLF disconnecting property is sealed in the disconnecting part 2 as the arc-extinguishing gas. Since the gas-blowing part 1 and the gas- blowing part 2 are electrically connected in series, the gas-blowing breaker is obtained, which is superior in both the SLF disconnecting property and the BTF disconnecting property and has the disconnecting property equal to or higher than the case using the SF 6 gas.     • PURPOSE:To improve time delay in trigger discharge in vacuum by providing irradiation port at one part of a vacuum vessel as well as drawing out of the vacuum vessel while sealing an optical fiber therein, then irradiating at least one of paired electrodes with ultraviolet light from an ultraviolet light generator outside the vacuum vessel. CONSTITUTION:Voltage is applied between opposing electrodes 2, 3 from the outside, while the surface of the electrode 3 is irradiated with ultraviolet light by an ultraviolet irradiator 14 through a optical fiber 13, whereby secondary electrons occurs actively to impinge on the electrode 2, generating ions of such as metal vapor between the electrodes 2, 3. When a pulse source 11 is started in this state by means of an outside signal, creaping discharge occurs between a third electrode 6 and the electrode 2 through an insulator 5, whereby the opposing electrodes perform discharge according to the ions generated between the electrodes. In this case, since irradiation of ultraviolet light is carried out first to generated a lot of ions, effect on the electrode is moderated, thereby sharp improvement in the time delay in discharge is attained.

    • PURPOSE:To make it possible to obtain a plasma X-ray source with high brightness, long service life and large freedom in wave length selection by making the inside of a discharge vessel vacuum while providing a switching means outside a discharge circuit and also forming either of electrodes with X-ray generating material. CONSTITUTION:A switching means is sealed inside an electrode 1 positioned at the center of a vessel through an insulating material 11 and formed with a trigger electrode 12 drawn to the outside and a trigger pulse source 13 provided between the trigger electrode 12 and an electrode 1. Then, the inside of a discharge vessel 4 is exhausted in vacuum through an exhaust hole 14 and maintained at high vacuum degree. An X-ray material having a desired wave length is used for faced electrodes 1 and 2. Since discharge is generated on the faced electrodes with a switching means provided outside the discharge circuit, a switching means inside the discharge circuit is eliminated so that a large current with high speed pulse is obtained. Therefore, it is possible to generate X-ray with high brightness, eliminate the deterioration of the insulating material and prolong the service life in the plasma X-ray source.

The circuit breaker is provided characteristically with a pressure response valve for opening/closing the communication passage, according to the gas pressure of the arc-generating part.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an improvement of a capacitor bank in which a large number of ceramic capacitors are integrated and a method for integrating capacitors of easy maintenance, by a method wherein using a unit consisting of a plurality of ceramic capacitors connected in parallel, contact and departing are enabled between the moving contacts provided on the unit side and the fixed contacts provided on the container side. CONSTITUTION:As the capacitor bank in a plasma X-ray source wherein a capacitor bank, a trigger switch, a discharge tube, etc., are electrically connected to form an X-ray generating source, a unit capacitor 1 having a plurality of ceramic capacitors 2 connected in parallel is used. And, part of the conductor of the unit capacitor 1 is used as moving contacts 8, 9, and fixed contacts 6, 7 are provided on the unit capacitor container side, thereby facilitating insertion and removal of the unit capacitor 1. For instance, a plurality of ceramic capacitors 2 are connected between terminal boards 3, 4 thereby to construct a capacitor unit 1. And, the surrounding of the unit 1 is partitioned by an insulating partitioning board 5, and the moving contacts 8, 9 provided on one end of the terminal boards 3, 4 are brought into contact with the fixed contacts 6, 7 provided on part of the partitioning board 5.
