    • PURPOSE:To make stable starting come to fruition, by setting a revolving speed in an induction generator down to the minimum revolving speed in the generator in a head at that point of time after turbine starting, while opening the opening of a turbine's guide vane to the extent of no-load guide vane opening at the said minimum revolving speed mutually and paralleling it in a system for the end. CONSTITUTION:At the time of turbine starting, guide vane opening GVO, which is commensurate to a certain head Hi and equivalent to a minimum revolving speed, is set in advance. And, after turbine starting, first the head Hi is detected, and opening of a guide vane, regulating a water quantity to be fed to a hydraulic turbine, is opened to the extent the said GVO. Next, a revolving speed in an induction generator to be driven by the turbine is controlled to the minimum revolving speed, and it is paralleled in a system in a state that terminal voltage of the induction generator and system voltage are equally synchronized. According to an operating method like this, since the terminal voltage and the system voltage are paralleled in the system at the minimum guide vane opening and the minimum revolving speed, a dead water quantity is minimizable and, what is more, stable starting is realizable.

    • PURPOSE:To improve the stability in a power system by setting a response speed of each control to a relation where output control > guide vane opening control > speed control, in case of the power system directly connecting a storage pump to a rotary electric motor connected to the power system through a frequency converter. CONSTITUTION:In the case of a power system 1 turning a reversible pump turbine 4 by power generated in a wound-rotor induction motor 2 connecting its primary side to the power system 1 and secondary side to a power converter 3, a comparator 18, which calculates a deviation between the proper rotary speed NOPT from a rotary speed function generator 12 and the actual rotary speed by a rotary speed detector 5, is provided. While providing an adder 19 which obtains the integrated output target signal by adding the above decreased deviation to a power instruction Po, the power converter 3 is controlled being based on an output of the adder 19. While an opening controller 9, which gives an output in accordance with a deviation of the opening target value of a guide vane in the reversible pump turbine 4 from its actual value, is provided. Each control loop sets its response speed to a relation where output control > guide vane opening control > speed control.

    • PURPOSE:To improve reliability in coupling of runners and a main shaft and to raise the efficiency of operation in assembling and disassembling the runners and the main shaft, by forming the runners integrally with their shaft couplings, and fixing these shaft couplings to the main shaft. CONSTITUTION:Runners 2, 3 are formed integrally with their shaft couplings 2A, 3A which are respectively formed with holes for receiving bolts 10, 11, and these shaft cuplings 2A, 3A are fixed to a main shaft 1. A lower shaft 14 and the runner 3 are coupled together by bolts 11, and an intermediate shaft 12 and the runner 3 are coupled together by bolts (not shown) at a flange portion 13 formed at the lower end of the shaft 12. Further, the shaft 12 and the runner 2 are coupled together by bolts 10, and the main shaft 1 and the runner 2 are coupled together by bolts (not shown) at a flange portion 9 formed at the lower end of the main shaft 1. With such an arrangement, it is enabled to raise the efficiency of operation in assembling and disassembling the runners 2, 3 to and from the main shaft 1 and to facilitate machining and other operation since the shafts 12, 14 are designed to be detachable.
