摘要： PURPOSE: To provide a variable speed pumping-up system capable of regulating an electric motor load even during pumping up operation and coping with control of a power system such as AFC. CONSTITUTION: A variable speed pumping-up device comprises an optimum rotation speed function generator 12 to input a power command P0 and a total head HST from the outside and compute a current optimum rotation speed NOPT a power control correction signal generator 16 to compare an output signal NOPT therefrom and an actual rotation speed N with each other and form a negative feedback circuit, and have at least an integrating element to reduce a deviation therebetween to zero and work to output a correction signal Q and a negative feedback circuit to add the power command P and the correction signal 5 to generate a synthetic signal P0 +ε, and compare it with an actual input PM. Further, the variable speed pumping-up device comprises a power controller 7 having at least an integrating element to reduce the deviation therebetween to zero; and a power converter 3 to perform AC excitation control so that the input P of the electric motor 2 forms the synthetic signal P0 +ε.

CONSTITUTION:An AC-excited synchronous machine 5 is coupled directly to a reversible pump type water wheel 4. A primary current vector calculator 24 outputs a d-axis component Id1 of a primary current and a peak value I1p. A q-axis command limiter 26 sets the upper and lower limits of a q-axis current Iq2. When the peak value I1p becomes smaller than a set value, it is judged to be interrupted from an AC system, and the upper and lower limits are switched. As a result, the current Iq2 is suppressed to the value near 0. A d-axis command limiter 27 limits the upper and lower limits of the current Id2 with respect to the signal Id1. The stronger the excitation becomes, the more the upper and lower limits are moved in a positive direction. Thus, a secondary winding current command is limited to shift to a self-excited operation at the time of interrupting from the AC system.

In order not to operate a detector at the time of normal operation such as start or stop, a trouble signal is not oscillated when the signals transmitted from the phases are all '0' or '1' (i.e., stopping and normal operating states). However, only when at least one of these signals is '0', the detector judges that a trouble occurs in the exciter 1 to generate a trouble signal.

While an opening controller 9, which gives an output in accordance with a deviation of the opening target value of a guide vane in the reversible pump turbine 4 from its actual value, is provided. Each control loop sets its response speed to a relation where output control > guide vane opening control > speed control.

A field current lower limit setter 18 increases the lower limit of a d-axis component current command value in the case of receiving a synchronous operation mode signal to output the lower limit to a current command generator 12. Only for synchronously-operating a variable speed generator, synchronism loss torque is increased. It is thus possible to conduct control for increasing field current, namely, strong excitation and prevent the variable speed generator from losing synchronism during synchronous operation.

Thereby, a DC electric power is supplied from an output (C) of a frequency converter 5 to primary windings 1s of the AC- excited synchronous machine 1, and an AC electric power having a variable frequency is supplied from outputs (A), (B) of the frequency converter 5 to secondary windings 1r of the machine 1. Thereby, the AC-excited synchronous machine 1 is started and is accelerated as a synchronous machine. Thereby, when starting the AC-excited synchronous machine 1, connection of the outputs of the frequency converter are modified safely, and the machine 1 can be started smoothly without increasing the capacity of the frequency converter.

摘要： PURPOSE:To prevent the difference of cooling capacities required of primary and secondary sides by a method wherein the total sectional area of a secondary winding in a groove of a rotor iron core is larger than that of a primary winding in a groove of a stator iron core, in a rotary electric machine which is operated by AC excitation from the secondary side. CONSTITUTION:The total conductor sectional area of a secondary side winding is set larger than that of a primary side winding by the amount of ratio of ampere conductors. Accordingly, the current density of the secondary winding is made equal to that of the primary winding. As a result, the difference of cooling capacities required of the primary and secondary winding sides can be eliminated. In this way, a surplus cooling air amount can be suppressed, allowing efficient designing.
