    • PURPOSE:To simplify the connecting wire of a filament and leads by forming the end portion of the longer lead in the shape of a mountain, bending the lead end to clamp and hold one end of the filament, bending the end of other lead to the roughly same direction with the direction of the lead and hold the other end of the filament. CONSTITUTION:One end of a longer lead 2 is fixed by way of a bead 8 in a seal portion 7 while the other end thereof is bent in the shape of a mountain, inserted and fixed in an exhaust tube 10. The end of the lead 2 is further bent to form a clamp holding portion 11 on the side of the lead 2 for clamping and holding a filament 1. The end of the shorter lead 2' is bent to form a clamp holding portion 11' on the side of the lead 2 for clamping and holding the filament 1. This provides easily a lamp of a simple structure, high reliability of wire connecting portions, and high efficiency.

    • PURPOSE:To readily obtain a tungsten halogen lamp of stable performance and high reliability by precooling the bottom of a bulb and cooling it again upto the upside so that filler gas can be securely filled into the bulb. CONSTITUTION:After the inside of a glass bulb 1 that is linked to an exhausting device via an exhaust tube 3 is exhausted to be vacuum, a predetermined amount of halogenated gas such as bromine and mixed gas of inert gas like xenon and nitrogen is introduced into the bulb 1. After a head-bulb is closed, a cooling box 4 is positioned, as indicated by a full line, with the liquid level of liquid nitrogen 5 reaching at about 10mm from a sealing unit of the glass bulb 1 to precool the bottom of the bulb 1. Then, after the bulb 1 is cooled again upto the upside in the liquid nitrogen 5, the cooling box 4 is moved downward to seal the exhaust tube 3 at the predetermined position for sealing using an oxyhydrogen burner. Thus, since the majority of the filler gas is solidified at the bottom of the bulb through precooling, the exhaust tube can not be sealed by liquefaction occuring through main cooling, and the filler gas at predetermined pressure can be filled with high accuracy.

    • PURPOSE:To easily fit or remove a halogen lamp with a tool at a high position where no hand can reach by forming the opening end of an reflecting mirror into a polygon which is a square or higher. CONSTITUTION:A halogen lamp 1, a reflecting mirror 2, a regular hexagonal pillar section 3 with the height about 10mm from an opening end with rounded angle sections on the outer periphery of the reflecting mirror 2, a cylindrical body 4 fixed to the base section of the reflecting mirror 2, and a base 5 fitted at one end of the cylindrical body 4 are provided, and the halogen lamp 1 is fixed at part of the base 5 side of the cylindrical body 4 with an adhesive. When the pillar section 3 is provided on the reflecting mirror 2 in a hexagonal shape, the halogen lamp 1 with the reflecting mirror 2 is easily held, and its replacement is facilitated. When a tool pinching the opposite planes of the pillar section 3 is used, the replacement is facilitated to a high place or a narrow place where no hand can reach.

    • PURPOSE:To provide a lamp whose color is changeable in an efficient simple manner by changing the film thickness of a part of a dielectric multi-layer provided on the bulb surface of the lamp from the other portions, and thereby providing a visible region with a reflection range with the narrow width of wave length. CONSTITUTION:A lamp is equipped with a filament 1, inner lead wires 2 and 2', molybdenum foils 3 and 3', outer lead wires 4 and 4', a base 5, a quartz bulb 6 and with a bead 7, and a dielectric multi-layer film composed of titanium oxide 8 and of silicon oxide 9 is sintered on the outer surface of the quartz bulb 6. Namely, the surface of a glass bulb is provided with a multi-layer film composed of a transparent body having a refraction factor of light and a low refraction factor so that infra-red rays from the lamp are thereby reflected, and valleys with a refraction factor of 10 to 40% are provided for a visible region. By this constitution, the color of a light source can thereby be changed without increasing the number of the layers for the dielectric multi-layer film to be sintered on the quartz bulb surface for a halogen bulb or a HID lamp, an reduction in efficiency can thereby be concurrently minimized.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a spectrochemical analysis apparatus having high reliability by executing signal processing while correcting the deviation of wavelength in a case in which a material to be measured is installed in an optical path and a case in which said material is not installed in the signal processing part of the spectrochemical analysis apparatus. CONSTITUTION:An empty sample cell 5 is first set and is subjected to measurement in the absent state of a sample. A CPU 10 operates a pulse motor 9 by the instruction from a keyboard 12 to drive a diffraction grating 4 having concave faces thereby making wavelength scanning. The intensity of the exit light of this time is taken in by an A/D converter 8 and the spectrum of the case in which the absorption by the sample is not received is obtd. The sample is then installed in the cell 5 and thereafter, the wavelength scanning is similarly executed to obtain the spectrum of the case in which the sample is installed. The peaks of the case in which the sample is installed and the case in which the sample is not installed are thereby extracted and the wavelengths thereof are compared. There is a case in which the wavelength of the peaks shifts as a result of the reception of the absorption and, therefore, the peaks which are largely deviated in comparison with the others are removed and the regular deviations of the wavelengths are detected. As a result, the deviations of the wavelength of the case in which the sample is installed and the case in which the sample is not installed are corrected.

    • PURPOSE:To have easy lighting/starting with low impression voltage by providing molybdenum foil in close contact with the outer wall of a light emitting tube, and by constituting so that the width of molybdenum foil is specifically related to the wall thickness of the light emitting tube. CONSTITUTION:By a molybdenum wire 21, molybdenum foil 20 is fixed to a lead 14 in close contact with the exterior surface of a quartz light emitting tube 11 and put in electrical contact with an electrode 18. Here the construction is such that d>=0.6a, where d is width of molybdenum foil, and a wall thickness of light emitting tube. Mercury, halide metal, and xenon gas for lighting/starting are encapsulated in the light emitting tube 11. At the time of lighting/starting, an electrode near the ground potential is impressed on the electrode 18 and a stretching voltage on another electrode 17, and now discharge destruction will occur in the space between the electrode 17 and foil 20. Because the width of foil 20 is sufficient, fine discharge generated around the electrode 17 propagates easily along the foil 20 to attain the electrode 18.

    • PURPOSE:To increase luminous strength at an ultraviolet part and to obtain a uniform and stable light output by forming a compressed shaped cross section of a luminous tube in a metal halide lamp. CONSTITUTION:When a cross section of a luminous tube 1 is compressed-shaped, thickness of a light absorptive layer is decreased in the direction of the compressed shape, so that ultraviolet-ray self-reabsorption by a filling gas can be reduced. Simultaneously, the length of a discharge path of high temperature and the length of a long diameter (a) directional end part of comparatively low temperature in the luminous tube' s cross section are increased and so the gas inside the luminous tube 1 is much stirred and uniformalized by natural convection, so that light intensity can be made uniform all over the discharge path. Besides, the discharge path is strongly gipped by both short diameter (b) directional surfaces of the luminous tube' s cross section, so that minute swinging on the discharge path can be prevented and also the fluctuation of the light output can be reduced.
