    • PURPOSE:To provide a laser beam machine which enables the early detection of the crack in a condenser lens by making the light from another light source except lase light for incident to the condenser lens for processing, condensing said light and measuring an intensity distribution. CONSTITUTION:Light 7 emitted from a light source 3, separately from passages 1, 12 for laser light, is made incident to a condenser lens 10. The transmitted light 14 through the lens 10 reflects on a reflection mirror 18, is focused by an optical fiber bundle 15 and is fed to an optical signal processing unit. The signal processing unit detects the scattering and the abnormality in the light distribution owing to the cracking of the lens 10 or the dust sticking thereto and emits a stop command to a laser generator or processing device. Since the abnormality in the lens can be treated while it is minor, the safe operation is assured. The condition of the lens 10 can be monitored with an alarm device for the abnormality of the condenser lens.

These mirrors 10a-10f are so arranged in solid manner that an angle alpha each incidence-reflection surface 30a and 30b, and that 30d and 30c make becomes e.g. alpha=60 deg.. Thereby, the deformation of the laser beam which receives reflection on each mirror 10a-10f appears around the center axis of the beam at an equal angle; therefore the laser beam having a circular section also after deformation can be kept.

CONSTITUTION:A carbon dioxide laser unit is composed of a laser oscillation section 21 and a gas circulatory regeneration section 22. Discharge is performed by the laser oscillation section 21 and CO concentration of the gas having increased CO concentration is reduced by an oxidizing catalyst 12. Then, the gas is cooled by a heat exchanger 2 to feed to the laser oscillation section 21 again by increasing the pressure by a blower 1. In increasing the CO concentration, a sensor 18 detects to raise the temperature of the oxidizing catalyst 12 by controlling a power source 15 for heater and a coefficient of CO oxidation is increased. On the other hand in decreasing the CO concentration, the temperature of the catalyst 12 is lowered. As the result, the CO concentration in gas will be maintained at the optimum value for performing stable oscillation.

By having the extension-contraction absorbing device 20, when the temperature of the feeding and discharging vessels 7 and 8 are suddenly moved up and they are extended to height direction at the starting of a gas laser generator 1A, the supporting frame 5 follows said vessels, no force works on the bellows 9 in shearing direction, said bellows 9 merely expands or contracts in the longitudinal direction according to the change of temperature without having no bending force, thereby producing no inclination on the supporting frame 5.

    • PURPOSE:To miniturize a device and obtain good quality laser light with a high output, by providing a pair of mirrors on both ends of a discharge tube, and obliquely crossing the laser light way with the center axis of the discharge tube resulting in a constitution for a reciprocating-rotation, and then reducing the pressure loss of a laser midium. There fore, the window pressure required to a blower 17 is sufficient in a small power. For the device itself, one discharge tube 10 is used, and electrodes used therefor are also sufficient in a pair. Accordingly, the assembly-adjustment is facilitated, and the number of mirrors can be reduced.
