    • PURPOSE:To prevent device destruction due to the collision of a magnetic head and a magnetic disk by controlling the driving of an actuator based on the signal of a sensor which detects an oscillation to excite the magnetic head in a floating direction. CONSTITUTION:A strain page 17 is stuck as the sensor to detect the oscillation in the floating direction, namely, in the direction of an arrow 16 on a surface in parallel to a magnetic disk 2 of a head arm 5, a detected strain is converted into a voltage signal 19 by an electric quantity converter 18, and sent to a mode control circuit 20 as a control signal. Thus, the sensor 17 to detect the oscillation in the floating direction is attached to the head arm 5, etc., and when a possibility in which the value exceeds an allowable value exists, by controlling the driving of the actuator such as deceleration of a moving speed and the delay of a next movement starting, the oscillation in the floating direction of magnetic head does not exceeds the allowable value, and the collision of magnetic heads 6 and 7 and the magnetic disk 2 can be evaded, and the file destruction can be prevented.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent head crash simply by decreasing or increasing the speed instruction when the deceleration during seek is applied to a track area having a low or high floating quantity setting value respectively. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disk 2 is supported by a spindle 1 and a magnetic head 4 is positioned on a track of the magnetic disk 2. Then the seek of the magnetic head is applied by controlling a torque of a voice coil motor 3 in response to the speed instruction set so that the average seek time satisfies a prescribed value. In this case, in order to reduce the floating fluctuation during the seek, the speed instruction is set smaller thereby reducing the torque of the voice coil motor 3. In retarding the seek speed, the floating fluctuation at the deceleration is reduced and the minimum floating quantity is 0.2mum or over and the danger of collision with a projection is avoided.

CONSTITUTION:The interval of a shift action from a shift start time for the second position in the first position until a shift start time for the third position in the second position is controlled in such a way that the same frequency component as vibration of the driving systems 4 and 5, which occur when a recording and reproducing means 6 shifts from the first position to the second position and which is due to resonance, and the inherent number of vibration of the driving systems 4 and 5, which are included in the driving force operated from the driving source 3 when the recording and reproducing means 6 shifts from the second position to the third position comes to have the opposite phase. Thus, the positioning and floating precision of the recording and reproducing means 6 with respect to a recording medium 2 can stably be maintained without the harmful vibration of the driving systems 4 and 5 driving the recording and reproducing means 6 being increased while the random positioning action of the recording and reproducing means 6 is repeated.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain an actuator for a magnetic disk device with high speed and high precision by driving the actuator and regulating the position of the center of gravity or the center position of a driving force in such a way that an oscillation which is generated then becomes minimum. CONSTITUTION:For setting a dislocation DELTAr between the center of gravity G of the actuator and the point of application P of the driving force which abnormally deteriorates the precision of positioning, the bar 21 of a ferromagnetic body is inserted to the adequate depth of a through hole 20. A magnetic flux density on the under side of a magnetic gap 18 (around the through hole 20) increases and the force around is enlarged as the bar 21 is deeply inserted, whereby the point of application P of the driving force dislocates to the under side and the dislocation DELTAr becomes small. At such a time, a magnetic head 5 reproduces and demodulates a position signal recorded in a magnetic disk 10. As to a signal waveform, the oscillation amplitude of the signal waveform becomes small as the dislocation DELTAr becomes small and becomes smallest when DELTAr=0. Consequently, the insertion depth of the bar 21 is optimum at that time.

CONSTITUTION:A magnetic disc apparatus using the actuator of rectilinearly driving type is composed of a carriage 1, a moving coil 2, a load arm 4, a magnetic head 5, a housing 7, guide rails 8, a bearing 9, a magnetic disc 10, a magnetic circuit 11, and the like. The moving coil 2 is inserted into the magnetic gap 18 of the magnetic circuit 11, and is energized for conduction, and the magnetic head 5 is positioned at the specified position of the magnetic disc 10. In this case, in order to diminish a positional shift r between the centroid G of an actuator assembly unit and the working point P of a driving force, a regulating mass 19 is applied to the assembly unit. As a result, the centroid G of the assembly unit can be set at an optimum position, and oscillation at the time of driving the actuator can be set minimum.

    • PURPOSE:To realize an inexpensive magnetic disk device with excellent oscillation characteristics by attenuating an oscillation by means of an electric control method. CONSTITUTION:Plural compensators A, B and C are set which respectively possess optimum parameters for disturbances which are different according to speed instructions, and when a speed control system is switched to a track tracing control system conforming to the speed instruction, the optimum compensator is selected, and switching is carried out. For example, the phase compensator A has an excellent attenuation for 1,000Hz to indicate open loop characteristics, the compensator B has the excellent attenuation for 500Hz, and the compensator C has the attenuation to a certain extent for 500Hz and 1,000Hz. Thus, even when the condition of the disturbed oscillation is changed, the attenuation can be secured.
