    • PURPOSE:To prevent an off-track from being generated due to the deformation of a head arm even when an integrated circuit is heated at a recording time by fitting the integrated circuit to the head arm so as to be positioned in a side which is inner than the outermost circumference of a magnetic gap during recording operation at least. CONSTITUTION:An integrated circuit 6 is loaded on a head arm 4 and the recording and reproducing of information are controlled by the instruction of a controlling device. Then, the writing and reading of a signal to a magnetic head 3 are executed. At the recording time, the integrated circuit 6 is fit to the head arm 4 so as to be positioned in the side inner than the outermost circumference of a magnetic disk 1. Even when the integrated circuit 6 is heated at the recording time, since a high speed air flow is generated in the magnetic disk 1 with being accompanied the high speed revolution of the magnetic disk 1, the quantity of heat to be generated in the integrated circuit 6 is speedily cooled by this high speed air flow and the head arm 4 does not get to be deformed. Accordingly, the off-track can be prevented from being generated by the deformation of the head arm 4.

    • PURPOSE:To uniform temperature distribution among magnetic disks and to prevent a thermal off-track state by providing a straightening member with a group of rod-shaped arms which are inserted between the magnetic disks and extend radially, and making the arms different in insertion length among the disks. CONSTITUTION:A carriage 4 mounting a servo head 3a and data heads 3b which reading and writing information out of and on a servo disk 1a and plural data heads 1b moves on a base 5, the arms of the rectifying member 6 are inserted between disks, and the whole is sealed hermetically with a cover 9. The straightening member 6 straightens air between disks with its arms to prevent unnecessary oscillations of the heads 3a and 3b due to turbulence. The arms of the straightening member 6 vary in length or width according to temperatures between disks to vary the heating value due to wind loss and uniform the temperature distribution, and the difference in thermal expansion between the servo head 3a and data heads 3b is eliminated to prevent the thermal off-track state.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent the production of offtrack due to the relative relation of position of each magnetic head by changing equally the length of plural head arms in response to the temperature change if a temperature change is caused to the entire magnetic disk device. CONSTITUTION:In setting the length of each head arm 4, a servo head arm 4a is used as a reference head arm to measure the linear expansion coefficient. The linear expansion coefficient is measured for other arms 4, the product between the length l5 of the arm 4a and the linear expansion coefficient of the arm 4a is divided by the linear expansion coefficient of the arm 4 obtained by the measurement to calculate the length (l) of the arm 4. Moreover, in mounting the arm 4 to the arm holder supporting the arm 4, the arms are assembled so that the length of the head arm tip and the fixed position give a desired length. Thus, the product between the length l5 of the arm 4a and its linear expansion coefficient is made equal to the product the length (l) of the arm 4 and its linear expansion coefficient.

    • PURPOSE:To keep the effect of a lubricating coated film for a long period and to prevent the damage of the surface of a magnetic head and head crash over a long period by maximizing the thickness of the lubricating coated film at the outermost peripheral part of the magnetic disk, and decreasing the thickness from the outer peripheral side to the inner peripheral side. CONSTITUTION:Iron oxide (not shown in the figure) and an epoxy resin (not shown in the figure) are coated on a high-purity Al substrate 1, and cured to form a magnetic medium layer 2. A filler 3 is incorporated in the magnetic medium layer 2 as a reinforcing agent. The lubricating coated film 4 is present on the surface of the magnetic medium layer 2, and protects the disk surface. The thickness of the lubricating coated film is maximized at the outermost peripheral part of the magnetic disk, and gradually decreased toward the inner peripheral side. A soln. of a lubricant is sprayed on the surface of the magnetic disk by a spraying system to form the lubricating film 4, and the film thickness can be effectively regulated by controlling the spraying quantity.
