    • PURPOSE:To eliminate parts in the lower part of an electromagnetic repulsion coil and lower the height of a vacuum circuit-breaker to make the size compact by putting a pulling back spring of a short circuit ring in the upper part than the ring and concentrically with a power transmission rod. CONSTITUTION:When an electromagnetic repulsion coil 10 is excited, a short circuit ring 11 receives the repulsing force and rises by the size G while opposing a pulling back spring 12. While opposing the pulling back spring 15, the ring pushes up a rod 5E through a bolt 8 and moves a movable pole 5 to bring it in contact with a fixed pole 4. When the repulsing force of the coil 10 disappears, the rod 5E and the bolt 8 return to the original position owing to the pulling back springs 12, 15 and the poles 5, 4 are apart from each other. Since the spring 12 is put in the upper part than the ring 11 and concentrically with a nut 7B and the bolt 8, there is no part under the coil 10 and thus the height of a vacuum circuit-breaker can be lowered by that degree and the size can be compact.

    • PURPOSE:To detect abnormality in a CT by logically operating a relation between externally provided operating conditions and detection values of CT when the output of the CT exceeds a predetermined value in a high speed interruptor for isolating the power supply side from the control side. CONSTITUTION:A start command 23 provided from a main controller 15 to a controller 5 and a signal representing throw-in of a main circuit switch LB3 are inputted to an AND gate 11 to produce an AND signal 26. On the other hand, a current value detected through a CT 6 is compared with a threshold at a comparing section 7b, and a signal 27 is outputted if the threshold is larger and a logical product signal 28 of the signals 27, 28 is produced from an AND gate 12. Duration of the signal 28 is measured by means of a timer 13 and when it reaches a predetermined time, a fault signal 24 is outputted and transmitted to a monitor or an operating desk in the upstream so that a target relay 18 is operated to display an alarm. The LB 3 is interrupted by that signal. Consequently, under output due to fault of the CT 6 is detected and dangerous trouble is avoided.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent fault current from spreading by containing a line breaker for interrupting main circuit DC current of an electric vehicle and a high speed vacuum circuit breaker in separate boxes. CONSTITUTION:Main circuit DC current is taken in from a stringing 1 through a current collector 2 and fed through line breakers 3a, 3b, contained in a double insulation line breaker box 14, into a circuit breaker box 15a secure directly to the body 8 by means of fixing metals 16. The DC current is fed through a DC high speed vacuum circuit breaker 15, contained in the circuit breaker box 15a, and a filter reactor 5 to an inverter 6 where it is inverted into VVVF three-phase current for driving an induction motor 7. The current then flows through the body 8 and wheels 9 into a rail 10 and fed back to a substation (now shown). Consequently, no arc is produced even upon interruption of main circuit current and fault current is prevented from spreading.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a compact, large-capacity direct current vacuum circuit breaker which can be installed under the floor of an electric car by connecting a parallel magnetic field coil in series with the repulsive coil of a commutating switch to a vacuum valve. CONSTITUTION:The excessive current of a main circuit current IL8 is detected by a CT9 and the result is processed by a command portion, so that with a little delay to a trip command commutating commands are transmitted to both a repulsive coil 2 for a vacuum valve and a repulsive coil 7 for a commutating switch. Then a vacuum valve 1 is opened while a commutating switch 6 is closed. Closing of the commutating switch 6 causes a commutating current to flow reversely of the main circuit. In this case, the repulsive coil 7 for the commutating switch and the coil 4 for parallel magnetic fields are connected in series to a commutating command power source 5 whereby the breaking ability of the circuit breaker within the vacuum valve 1 is enhanced. Since the circuit breaker is thus usable with the exciting current of the repulsive coil of the commutating switch, it is compacted.

    • PURPOSE:To aim at the promotion of high reliability in an interlocking contact maker using a transmission type photointerrupter by installing at least more than one spot of nonshielding parts in a shielding plate traveling in a shielding direction. CONSTITUTION:When voltage is given to each of terminals (1), (2) of a light emitting element 1, infrared rays 2 are emitted, and a light receiving element 3 operates, whereby voltage is generated in terminals (3), (4). At this time, if a shielding plate 5 is advanced in an X direction, each voltage of these terminals (3), (4) is sharply decreased. In this case, a nonshielding part 5b and a shielding part 5c at a tip of its original shielding part 5a are installed in the shielding plate 5. Voltage in the terminals (3), (4) in this state passes through 55c once turned to OFF from an operating state 55d and 55b once turned to ON, and finally it comes to a state of 55a once turned to OFF. According to this constitution, trouble in a photointerrupter itself, especially, addition of a diagnostic function against a 'on' closed-circuit failure, reciprocation, or an operating holdup in an object itself doing its rotary motion are all detectable so that the promotion of high reliability in a device can be achieved.
