摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve operability by providing an input pen and a keyboard as an input means and providing two power source on/off mechanisms. SOLUTION: A portable information terminal 100 has an input pen 120 and a keyboard 160 as a means for input/operation. The input pen 120 is housed in a pen housing part 130. The pen housing part 130 is provided with a power source switch 190 for discriminating whether the input pen 120 is housed or not. A power source button 110 is provided for turning on-off the power source. Corresponding to signals from the power source switch 190 and the power source button 110, a microprocessor turns on/off a power source, discriminates that the power source button 110 is depressed but the input pen 120 is not housed in the pen housing part 130, and warns not to house the input pen 120.
