    • PURPOSE:To enable a predetermined acceleration or deceleration of speed with respect to variations in air gap between a linear induction motor and a reaction plate and the gradient railway line by detecting the real acceleration or deceleration of a train, and controlling the train driving motor so that the real acceleration or deceleration coincides with a target acceleration or deceleration. CONSTITUTION:When a train is moved, an acceleration/deceleration detection circuit 6 detects a real acceleration alpha by an input power drive command 10 and a train speed signal 9. A reference acceleration/deceleration generation circuit 7 generates a target acceleration alphaP, an operation part 4 compares the real acceleration alpha with the alphaF, and sends its deviation to an arithmetic circuit 5. The circuit 5 calculates a control signal with the deviation being zero, and controls an inverter 2. Thus, it can control the train at a predetermined acceleration/deceleration against variations in the air gap between the train linear induction motor and the ground reaction plate and the gradient of railway line.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform the protective operation of the controller of an inverter apparatus as sensing the abnormality of the controller, by comparing the output- current command value issued from its controller with its actual output current, and by operating the overcurrent protection circuit of its controller when its actual output current exceeds the command value in some case, and further, by stopping its operation. SOLUTION: For setting an overcurrent-protection setting value to a comparator 14a, an adder 16 adds a marginal portion to an output-current command value 18 issued from an inverter controlling circuit to apply a resultant addition value S8a to one input terminal of the comparator 14a. Then, when the output signal level of an absolute-value circuit 13 exceeds the output signal level S8a of the adder 16, the comparator 14a is configured to output an overcurrent sensing signal S11. When the overcurrent sensing signal S11 is outputted, the inverter controlling circuit stops the outputting of the on-off signal of a witching element, and a gate driving circuit also stops the outputting of the on-off signal (gate pulse) for driving the switching element to stop the power converting operation of an inverter apparatus.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent damage of a power converter from spreading and causing a secondary trouble by detecting the magnitude of reverse bias voltage or current between the control terminal of a gate turn ON thyristor (GTO element) and a reference potential applying terminal and then controlling the power converter based on the detection results. CONSTITUTION:Before a GTO element 6 constituting an inverter unit 3 begins switching operation, a detecting section 9 detects a reverse bias voltage VGK to be applied between the gate and cathode of each GTO element 6 from a reverse bias start signal section 10 through a gate driver 7. Upon detection of an abnormal reverse bias voltage, a gate logic section 8 stops operation of the inverter unit 3, i.e., the switching operation of the GTO element. According to the invention, damage of the inverter unit 3 including the GTO element 6 can be prevented from spreading to cause a secondary trouble.
