摘要： PURPOSE:To promote stirring capacity to stir and mix excavated earth with viscosity providing liquid at the same speed condition as that of the conventional machine in a rotary excavating tool used for a small bore pipe burying device and to make it possible to correspond to high-speed excavation. CONSTITUTION:The surface of a rotary excavating tool 2 loaded to the front 4-1 of an excavating machine body is formed in an approximate cone-shape, and the whole section of a facing is excavated in the approximately same plane by an excavating blade 3 of a cutter spoke 2-2 mounted to the central part of the front end of the facing side. Excavated earth and viscosity providing liquid injected from an injection port 2-1 are subsequently stirred and mixed from the inside to the peripheral surface side by a stirring projection 2-4 provided to the surface of the rotary excavating tool, and are transferred to a sludge passage 9 between the excavating machine body and a bedrock as sludge having plastic fluidity, so that even if an excavation speed is increased, the blockade of the sludge passage 9 can not be easily made.

SOLUTION: A rotary excavator for a pipe burying device is provided with a propulsion machine body, a rotary excavator and a viscosity imparting liquid filling means. In this case, an excavator base part 8 is fitted to a seal case 11 rotatably fitted to the front part of the propulsion body, and a viscosity imparting liquid filling body 5 with an umbrella shaped bit 6 provided at a front end part so as to be able to fill viscosity imparting liquid radially is arranged at the rotational center part of the rotary excavator in such a way as to protrude forward from the excavator base part 8. Roller bit fitting arms 2 with outer peripheral roller bits 3 and inner peripheral roller bits 4 rotatably fitted thereto are arranged alternately in a circumferential direction around the viscosity imparting liquid filling body 5 and fitted protruding forward from the excavator base part 8.

The maximum bent angle of the bent part 6 is set by the length of the oblong hole 3b. In this case, an internal thread cylinder 12 and a cylindrical member 13 are respectively fixed to the inner periphery of the flange 3a and the inner periphery of the rear end part of the intermediate drum 2 so as to be opposed to each other. An external thread part 11a of a middle bend limiting bar metal fitting 11 is screwed to the internal thread cylinder 12 to insert a shank 11b into the cylindrical member 13, and a clearance between a head 11c and the end face of the cylindrical member 13 is adjusted. The maximum bent angle of the bent part 6 can therefore by made smaller than the angle set by the length of the oblong hole 3b.

In addition the hydraulic unit 20 is controlled to have short strokes and a large number of impact at the time of impact and the maximum stroke at the pressure-in time of static pressure by means of a timer. An operating mode corresponding to the soil can be thus obtained so as to improve shielding efficiency.
