    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve problems in a stable support of a pedal arm, rigidity of a support member and a reliable operation of a lever for dropping the pedal arm, and to provide a pedal device which reliably drops the pedal arm at the collision of a vehicle. SOLUTION: In the pedal device for the vehicle having the support member 2 for rotatably supporting the pedal arm 1 which is attached to a dash panel 4 arranged in a front part of a deck cross member 5, a pedal rotating shaft 16 of the pedal arm 1 is penetrated through a pedal shaft hole 24 of the support member 2. A striking lever 3 struck down to the pedal rotating shaft 16 is pivotably supported by an upper part of the pedal arm 1 and a front part of the deck cross member 5. A cut out groove 381 is provided along a rotating shaft striking part 33 facing the pedal rotating shaft 16 of the striking lever 3. The arm rotary part 1 includes an arm side pin receiver engaged with a connection pin 71 of the connection guide part 7. The lever rotary part 2 includes a lever side pin receiver engaged with a connection pin 71 of the connection guide part 7. The connection guide part 7 is connected to a support bracket 4 by a connection side rivet 73 and allows the connection pin 71 movable along a long hole 721 coaxially with a rotary shaft 12 to be engaged with the arm side pin receiver and the lever side pin receiver. The separate rotary part 3 is connected to the support bracket 4 by a separate side rivet 33, and includes an input part 32 interfering with a strut house, and a separate protrusion to be separated from the port bracket 4 to contact the connection guide part 7.
