    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an entrainment preventing device for a front tire of a vehicle which certainly prevents entrainment of an object under the front tires.
      SOLUTION: In the entrainment preventing device, a guard 7 for preventing the entrainment of the object 6 under the front tire 3 is arranged at the front position of the front tire 3. The lower part of the guard 7 is formed of a planar member bent forward at a predetermined tilting angle. The entrainment preventing device is attached to the lower surface side of a step 5 disposed on the front side of a front fender 4 via a hinge 8 so that it turns to the front tire side when the guard 7 contacts with the object. The guard 7 is provided with an elastic member 9 for holding it at a storage position along the lower surface of a step via the hinge 8, and a locking mechanism 10 for holding the guard at an operating position in front of the front tire against an energizing force of the elastic member is arranged.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select rational gear ratio responding to the distance to a vehicle driving ahead by installing a measuring apparatus to measure the distance to a vehicle driving ahead and a means to inhibit alteration of setting of the gear ratio in the case the output of the distance to the vehicle driving ahead detected by the measuring apparatus is shorter than a standardized value. SOLUTION: When the distance to a vehicle driving ahead becomes shorter than a standardized value and gets into a perilous region, a measuring apparatus 3 gives an alarming output. By taking the alarming output, setting alteration of the gear ratio to a computed ratio is inhibited even if a driver parts the foot from the accelerator pedal. When the distance to a vehicle driving ahead becomes long, a control circuit 1 judges whether the distance to the vehicle driving ahead detected by the measuring apparatus 3 becomes the standardized value or longer. In the case the distance is the standardized value or longer, the inhibition state is continued for a prescribed period (t) and after the prescribed period (t) sec., setting alteration of the gear ratio to the computed gear ratio is carried out. Consequently, acceleration which the driver intends to do is instantaneously carried out at the time when acceleration is again carried out.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely retreat a seat at a front face collision of a vehicle and prevent retreat of the seat in rear end collision from behind.
      SOLUTION: Lower rails 16a, 16b are arranged on a floor while extending in a running direction of the vehicle and upper rails 17a, 17b fixed on a seat cushion 13a so as to face the lower rails are mounted on the lower rails movably in the front/rear direction. A locked member 21 is mounted on the upper rail and a housing 22 facing the locked member is mounted on the lower rail. A locking tool 31 constituted so that its distal end can be locked on the locked member 21 is provided while the distal end is protruded so as to be retracted into the housing 22. A locking tool control means 32 for controlling so that the locking tool 31 cannot be retracted when an impact force larger than a predetermined value does not act on the seat 13 from the front and the rear and so that the locking tool is allowed to be retracted when an impact force larger than the predetermined value acts on the seat 13 from the front, is built in the housing 22.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately recognize a railroad crossing under alarming based on information of an on-vehicle navigation system, and to keep a braking condition even when a brake pedal is released under the condition where a vehicle stopped in this side of the railroad crossing under the alarming.
      SOLUTION: Information from the on-vehicle navigation system, and a sound detected by a sound collector outside the vehicle are analyzed to recognize accurately a position of the railroad crossing under the alarming. The braking condition in the vehicle is automatically maintained using a start-on-slope assisting device under the condition where an alarm sound is recognized by the sound collector.

    • PURPOSE:To smoothly perform running of a vehicle with an automatic transmission by inhibiting action of a shift actuator when a direction indicator is actuate so that a useless shiftup is prevented from being performed against a will of a driver at a corner on a flatland. CONSTITUTION:An engine speed by an engine speed sensor 1, speed change gear position of a transmission by a shift sensor 2 and a change of engine load by a load sensor 3 are input as an electric signal to a control circuit 4 which calculates gear ratio to be automatically selected in accordance with a change of the signal and feeds a control output to a shift actuator 6. In the shift actuator 6, gear ratio is changed and set in accordance with this control signal. During this control action, when a right or left turn direction indicator 21 is actuated by a driver, the indicator is detected by a detecting circuit 22 to generate an electric signal. This electric signal is fed to the control circuit 11 through an interface circuit 23, and during a period of showing the direction indicator 21 in action, the shift actuator 6 is inhibited from changing and setting the gear ratio by the control circuit 4.
