    • PURPOSE:To obtain a compact radiation image detector by providing a solid- state image sensing device so that the plane of incidence of light is opposed to the light output end face, and by lessening the length in the direction of incidence of light of an optical fiber plate. CONSTITUTION:CCD 2 is provided on the light output end face of an optical fiber plate 3 having the light output end face and light incidence end face 31 which intersect the direction of waveguide of light respectively and are orthogonal substantially to each other. Since the end face 31 is coated with a material having a scintillation function, the light generated by a radiation falling on the end face 31 is propagated in the direction of waveguide of the light and, therefore, it is emitted from the light output end face and cast on the plane of incidence of light of the CCD 2. Since the plane of incidence of light of the CCD 2 and the end face 31 are orthogonal substantially to each other, the radiation falling vertically substantially on the end face 31 advances straight in parallel practically to the plane of incidence of light of the CCD 2 and, therefore, the radiation does not fall on the plane of incidence of light of the CCD 2. Besides, the radiation is not guided either by the plate 3 coupling the plane of incidence of light of the CCD 2 with the end face 31 optically.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the restriction in the cutting angle of an input end face and to obtain a fiber optical plate(FOP) thinner than heretofore by providing a fiber optical plate with a light absorber so as to cover the outer peripheral parts of respective clads. CONSTITUTION:This FOP is composed of a core 5 which propagates incident light, the clads 6 which covers the outer peripheral parts thereof and further an absorber 7 disposed to cover the outer peripheral part of each clad 6. The light leaking from the core 5 and the incident light on the clads 6 are absorbed by disposing the absorbers 7 in this position and, therefore, the adjacent optical fibers are held optically insulated by the absorber 7. The angle alpha of inclination of the input end face 2 is set at such an angle at which the incident light on the core 5 from the air does not generate total reflection at the boundary face with the clads 6 and, therefore, the output of the unnecessary light, such as background light, from the output end face does not arise and the image of only the part in tight contact therewith is outputted.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray generation device which can make appropriate radiation.
      SOLUTION: The X-ray generation device 1 is composed of an X- ray tube 8 having an X-ray output window 13, a voltage generation part 21 which drives the X-ray tube 8, a protection case 2 which houses the X-ray tube 8 and the voltage generation part 21, a front panel 5 which is fixed to the protection case 2 and has an opening part 26 the output window 13 faces and a base plate 22 on which the voltage generation part 21 to drive the X-ray tube 8 is fixed. The X- ray tube 8 is fixed on the front panel 5 so that the opening part 26 of the front panel 5 can face the output window 13 and furthermore, the base plate 22 is fixed on the front panel 5.
