    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray irradiation device and an X-ray irradiation unit, capable of increasing/decreasing the number of X-ray irradiation sources without complicating wiring.SOLUTION: An X-ray irradiation device 1 includes: a plurality of X-ray irradiation units 3 each including an X-ray tube 6 for generating an X-ray, a drive circuit 15 for driving the X-ray tube 6 and trunk wiring 22 connected to the drive circuit 15; and a controller 4 including a control circuit 23 for controlling the X-ray irradiation units 3. The trunk wiring 22 of the plurality of X-ray irradiation units 3 is connected in series to the control circuit 23. By this, the drive circuit 15 in the plurality of X-ray irradiation units 3 is connected in parallel to the control circuit 23. By the series connection of the trunk wiring 22 of the plurality of X-ray irradiation units 3 to the control circuit 23, the X-ray irradiation units 3 can be connected mutually, without individual connection of each X-ray irradiation unit 3 to the controller 4. Therefore, it is possible to increase/decrease the number of units without complicating wiring.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an X-ray irradiation source capable of electrically stabilizing an opposing surface by minimizing the impact of induction current flowing across a supporting member, thus adequately eliminating static charges from workpieces.SOLUTION: In an X-ray irradiation source 2, a housing 31 is coupled to a rail member 4 via a joint member 41 having an insulation property, and a first opposing surface P1 and the rail member 4 are electrically insulated each other. As a result, when connected to external equipment, it is possible to minimize the impact of an induction current flowing across the rail member 4 onto the first opposing surface P1, thus adequately eliminating the static charges of a workpiece without causing an electro static induction phenomenon. In addition, in the X-ray irradiation source 2, since the first opposing surface P1 is made of metal, it becomes possible to suppress the first opposing surface P1 taking charges due to the impact of a high pressure power supply module 22 for driving an X-ray tube 21 and an electrical potential present externally, thus, enhancing the static elimination effect of the workpiece.
