    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a terminal connection method and a terminal connection device of flat cable in which a connector can be connected to a rectangular conductor certainly and in good condition and work efficiency can be improved by reducing processes and time required for connection work.
      SOLUTION: Each bus bar 4, ... is arranged, opposed to each corresponding rectangular conductor 2, ... arranged in parallel of a flat cable 1, on a resin film 3 on the upper side which covers the whole of the rectangular conductors 2, ..., and then, the connection part A of the flat cable 1 where the rectangular conductors 2 and the bus bars 4 opposing to each other are pinched by a horn 6 and an anvil of an ultrasonic welding device. By ultrasonic vibration of the horn 6, the resin film 3 interposed between the rectangular conductors 2 and the bus bars 4 is heated and melted, then the melted resin of the resin film 3 is removed from between the rectangular conductors 2 and the bus bars 4. The contact portion of the rectangular conductors 2 and the bus bars 4 from which the resin film 3 is removed is mutually melted and ultrasonic welded to permit current to flow.

The resin film 3 in the portion against which the bus bar 4 is pressed by the terminal side electrode 6 is heated and dissolved, the resin film 3 in the portion against which the electrode 7 is pressed by the cable side electrode 7 is heated and dissolved, and the bus bar 4 and the cable side electrode 7 are brought into contact with the rectangular conductor 2 so that a current can be carried through. A current is carried between the terminal side electrode 6 and the cable side electrode 7 to apply resistance welding to the contact part of the rectangular conductor 2 and the bus bar 4 so that a current can be carried through the contact part.
