    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow a bare head IC chip to be packaged avoiding a danger of collision with a magnetic disk with respect to a magnetic head slider supporting device. SOLUTION: On the undersurface of a suspension 30 mounting a magnetic head slider on the upper surface at the tip, a predetermined part 64 for a head IC chip package is formed. The predetermined part 64 for the head chip package comprises plural through-holes 66 and bumper terminals 65 for the head IC chip package at the under end of the through-holes. A bare head IC chip is packaged on the undersurface of the suspension 30 with minute bumpers being in contact with the bumper terminals 65 for the head IC chip package.

    • PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding mechanism for a magnetic head slider capable of accurately holding the magnetic head slider and surely attaining electric conduction between the terminal of a magnetic head and the outside regarding the holding mechanism of the magnetic head slider in which the magnetic head is mounted and the terminal of the magnetic head is formed on the end surface of an air outlet end side roughly orthogonal to a floating surface.
      SOLUTION: The air inlet end side end surface of a magnetic head slider 1 is pressed to a first striking block 5 by the energizing force of a first press supporting member 7, and one-side end surface of the magnetic head slider 1 is pressed to a second butting block 6 by the energizing force of a second press supporting member 8 to restrict the magnetic head slider 1. By disposing an elastic material, read terminals 41 to 44 are fully pressed to the terminals 13 to 16 of a magnetic head 12, and electric conduction is secured between the terminal 13 to 16 of the magnetic head 12 and the outside.

The conductor layer 6 and the other electrode 12 are respectively connected to wirings 42, 44 for driving the piezoelectric element provided on the head suspension, the wiring being connected to the conductor layer of the piezoelectric element and the electrode of the other piezoelectric element.

    • PURPOSE:To prevent a magnetic head from being damaged by adsorbing a core slider onto the surface of a recording medium by displacing a negative pressure slider to be set at a second stable position, where force operated onto the negative pressure slider can be balanced with restoring force by positive pressure and negative pressure, when the rotating speed of the recording medium reaches the normal rotating speed. CONSTITUTION:When the rotation of the recording medium is stopped, the negative pressure slider is held at the first stable position (away from the surface of the recording medium by 100mum, for example) sufficiently separated from the recording medium surface where the positive pressure and the negative pressure is not operated. When the rotation of the recording medium is started, a signal is transmitted at suitable timing to impress a voltage to a piezoelectric element 22, and the surface of the piezoelectric element 22 on the recording medium side is displaced to be close to the recording medium surface. With this displacement, a spring arm 26 is elastically deformed, and the negative pressure slider 4 is displaced from the first stable position to the second stable position (away from the recording medium surface by 0.1mum, for example). When the negative pressure slider 4 is displaced to the second stable position, at this second stable position, the positive pressure and the negative pressure is operated onto the negative pressure slider 4, and the force composed of this negative and positive pressure is balanced with the elastic force (restoring force) of the spring arm 26.

CONSTITUTION:A spring arm 6 is deviated by blowing the wind pressure generated at the time of performing the constant rotation of the magnetic recording medium 1 toward a wind receiving means 11, and the recording and reproduction of information on the plane of a magnetic recording medium 1 can be performed by making the core slider 3 approach the magnetic recording medium 1 side. In a state where the magnetic recording medium 1 is rotated before the constant rotation or it is stopped, on wind pressure to deviate the spring arm 6 to the magnetic recording medium 1 side occurs, therefore, the core slider 3 is separated from the medium 1 plane, and is retracted by distance G. In such a way, it is possible to prevent the dust or the head crash due to the sliding occurring by preventing the contact and sliding of a magnetic head H with the medium 1 plane from occurring.
