摘要： PURPOSE:To improve the handleability and running property of a thermal record ing paper by discretely including a composition containing cellulose powder and an oil absorptive pigment in thermal color-forming layer. CONSTITUTION:A cellulose powder, whose grain size is such as to pass 90% or more through a screen (elutriation) of 250 mesh, preferably through a screen of 300 mesh, and an oil absorptive pigment, whose oil absorption is 30ml/100g or more (by JIS-K-5101) preferably, are mixed. The composition so formed is further mixed with a colorant, a developer, and a heat meltable substance as needed in an amount of corresponding to 10-200wt% of the total amount of colorant, developer, and heat meltable substance.

Among branched alkyl groups represented by R1 or R3, tertiary butyl group is particularly preferable. The quantity of the phenol compound used is 5-200wt%, preferably 20-100wt% to the organic acid.
