    • PURPOSE:To obtain the title dispersing liquid for pressure sensitive copying paper characterized by small increase in viscosity, which includes the microcapsule having a wall film of melamine formaldehyde polycondensated material and the like, anion macromolecular electrolyte, and bivalent water soluble metal salt. CONSTITUTION:The intended dispersing liquid which includes (A) the microcapsule having the wall film of the melamine formaldehyde polycondensated material or a urea formaldehyde polycondensated material, (B) anion macromolecular electrolyte (preferably polystyrene sulfonic acid soda and the like), and (C) bivalent water soluble metal salt (preferably calcium chloride). In order to obtain said dispersing liquid, e.g., hydrophobic material which is a core material of the capsule is dispersed in the aqueous solution of the component B. Then, an amino compound and formalin which are the wall material are added, amino resin is formed, and the capsule is obtained. Binder and the like are further added, then the component C is added.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain microcapsule which does not adhere to reactor from a high concentration but low viscosity of a capsule solution consisting of malamine and a formaldehyde resin, together with gum arabic and an ammonium salt. CONSTITUTION:Melamine and a formabldehyde resin in a formaldehyde resin/ melamine molal ratio=approx. 2-3 are dissolved in an aqueous solution of gum arabic, containing gum arabic in a gum arabic/melamine ratio=approx. 0.1-4 by weight. The aqueous gum arabic solution so obtained is heated with stirring to separate the melamine-formaldehyde polymer as a liquid solution phase, and then the particles of a core substance, e.g., natural mineral oil, an animal oil, etc., are enclosed by the liquid solution phase and the polycondensation reaction of the liquid sooution phase is continued to form an insoluble capsule wall. The polycondensation reaction is accelerated by the addition of an ammonium salt, e.g., ammonium chloride, etc. This method is most useful in the manufacture of microcapsule for pressure-sensitive recording papers, and can provide a 2-8 micron size of capsules from an enriched but low viscosity capsule solution at lower cost without the use of an exoensive high-molecular electrolyte, as in the conventional methods.
