摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a compact battery device for a work vehicle which efficiently cools nickel-hydrogen batteries mounted on work vehicle, such as an aerial work vehicle. SOLUTION: This device, constituted in such a way as to cool nickelhydrogen batteries for supplying power to an electric hydraulic unit, has a battery casing 10, which stores a battery unit BU of the nickel-hydrogen batteries and a cooling means which blows cooling air to this battery casing 10. Also, intakes 11d, 11e for taking cooling air from the cooling means and outlets 11g, 11h for exhausting the cooling air taken from these intakes 11d, 11e are formed on the battery casing 10. The outlets 11g, 11h are formed on the upper part of the surface 11f opposite to the surface 11c which the intakes 11d, 11e are formed on.

No or a smaller amount of the additive is added to a positive plate locating in both outer regions O, O. By preponderantly adding the additive for enhancing charging efficiency at high temperature to the inner region easy to become high temperature, the charging efficiency at high temperature is effectively enhanced, a battery capacity is increased, and the alkaline storage battery suitable for an electric vehicle can be provided.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To fix and connect a negative electrode terminal and a positive electrode terminal solidly, by providing an intermediate opening between through holes for fitting pole terminal provided at both ends of a connecting rod main body, and fasten ing the front and the rear walls through this opening by a bolt and a nut. SOLUTION: At both ends of a conductive connecting rod main body 1 made of a metal or the like, through holes 2 to fit a negative and a positive pole terminals are provided in the vertical direction. Between the through holes 2 and 2, a slit form of intermediate opening 3 communicated and opened on the central axial line in the longitudinal direction penetrating vertically, is provided. At the middle part of the front and the rear wall surfaces 4 and 4' of the connecting rod main body 1, a bolt inserting hole 7 to penetrate the front side wall 5 and the rear side wall 6 opposing each other is formed orthogonal to the intermediate opening 3. A bolt 9 is inserted to the bolt hole 7, and a nut 10 is screwed to the inserting end, so as to fasten. Consequently, the front side wall 5 and the rear side wall 6 approach each other, the surrounding walls 11, 11 of the through holes 2, 2 are fixed in the condition to pressure contact the peripheral surface of pole terminals fitted to the through holes 2 and 2, and a connection of a large contact area can be obtained.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stable and tough electrode plate in which the breakage in the boundary part between a compressed plate part and a porous base body is prevented by plating the whole recessed surface of the three-dimensional porous base, and welding a current collecting plate to the compressed plate part through this plating layer. SOLUTION: An electrode plate 1 has a recessed surface 2 formed of the plate surface of a compressed plate part la formed by compressing one corner angle part in a desired position of one edge of a porous base in a prescribed surface area, and raised peripheral surfaces 1c, 1c formed of two edges of the porous base body 1b in its periphery. It also has a porous surface layer extending over the compressed plate part 1a and the raised peripheral end surface 1c, 1c, and a plating layer formed on the surface. Thus, the mechanical strength is improved. Further, a current collecting plate 4 is put on the plated surface 3 formed on the compressed plate part 1 and welded thereto by spot welding. Thus, the current collecting plate 4 can be stably and firmly mounted on the compressed plate part 1a with good conductivity.

Consequently, the four circumferential walls 1b, 1c, 1d, 1e can be freely flexed inward and outward.

摘要： PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance charging efficiency at high temperatures, prevent corrosion/deterioration of a negative electrode, and extend the life of a battery, by combining a nickel electrode, as a positive electrode, made up by adding a specific amount of CaCO3 to Ni(OH)2 , with an electrode, as the negative electrode, of an LaNi5 hydrogen storage alloy made up by substituting Ce for a specific amount of La. SOLUTION: As for a positive electrode, powder of CaCO3 is added by 1 to 4 wt.% to, and mixed with, powder of a positive-electrode active material of Ni(OH)2 , a water solution of a viscosity improver is added to, and kneaded with, the mixture, and thus obtained positive-electrode active material mix paste is packed into a long, three-dimensional, net-like, porous metallic substrate. As for a negative electrode, a viscosity improver water solution is kneaded with powder of a hydrogen storage alloy, as an LaNi5 hydrogen storage alloy, expressed by a fixed expression and made up by substituting Ce for 5 to 20% of La and substituting Co and Al for part of Ni, and thus obtained negative- electrode active material slurry is spread over a long porous metallic substrate, such as punching metal.
