摘要： PURPOSE:To provide the fault diagnostic synchronizing signal for a UPC circuit diagnosing properly a fault of the UPC circuit. Furthermore, the traffic is measured by 2 systems or over with respect to one kind of cell or over and the fault of the UPC circuit is diagnosed by comparing the traffic measured values. Furthermore, q-sets of bridge memories storing prescribed information of the arrived cells in time series are provided and a fault of the bridge memory is diagnosed by comparing the content of the bridge memory by 2 systems or over.

摘要： PURPOSE:To insert a monitor cell at a designed position and to facilitate even the monitor of a duplex constitution in regard of a monitor cell insertion control system which monitors the inside of a cell processor. CONSTITUTION:A monitor cell inserting cell generating part 1 is provided together with a monitor cell inserting part 2, and a monitor cell extracting part 3. A monitor cell inserting cell is formed in a user cell train at the part 1. In a duplex constitution of 0 and 1 systems, the monitor cell inserting cells are formed in the same timing in both 0 and 1 systems. The part 2 detects the monitor cell inserting cell through a detecting part 6 and controls a selector 5. Then the part 2 selects and outputs the monitor cells held in a buffer memory 4 in order to insert and transfer the monitor cells. The part 3 extracts these monitor cells and collates them with each other to monitor the normal state of a transfer path.

When the count of the two counter circuits 4-1, 4-2 exceeds the value X, the control circuit 6 sends a discrimination output to a terminal 7.

SOLUTION: The remote multiplex transmission devices 1-3 which store more than one subscriber terminals T1-T3 and mutually convert electric signals and optical signals, subscriber distribution module 9 as an exchange station device that stores plural transmission devices 1-3 and an exchange 10 are provided. The transmission devices 1-3 are mutually connected to the subscriber distribution module 9 by the optical transmission line 94. The transmission devices 1-3 are connected in a loop by the optical transmission lines L1-L4. One repeating device 7 is interposed in the loop-like optical transmission lines L1-L4. The optical transmission line 94 connecting the repeating device 7 and the subscriber distribution module 9 is provided separately from the loop-like optical transmission lines L1-L4. Thus, the remote multiplex transmission devices 1-3 are constituted to be smaller and lighter compared to the repeating device 7.

In the case of connection by the telephone terminals T1, T2 or the ISDN terminal equipment 82 to a telephone network 98, the personal computer 84 accepts a call to control the hub/router 83 to connect the call to the network 98. Voice information from the network 99 reaches a remote multiplex transmitter 1 or 2 via the exchange 10 and the module 9. The information is received by a pre-processing unit 85, in which the information is processed into a packet and an address on the network 98 is retrieved based on its telephone number. Furthermore, the processing unit 85 provides an address to the packet.
