摘要： PURPOSE: To obtain a library device capable of housing a large quantity of cartridges and of being easily assembled in a short time. CONSTITUTION: A reference cell unit 11 is arranged in the middle of the library device 2, and an accessor unit 9 is arranged at the end part of right side and an accessor unit 7 is arranged at the end part of left side. Pathway units 13 are arranged between the reference cell unit 11 and the accessor unit 7 in the quantity corresponding to the quantity of drum units 10 arranged between the reference unit 11 and accessor unit 7. The drum unit 10a is provided with a DEE door 64 for directly inserting/ejecting the cartridge by operator to/from the cell of a cell drum 15. An X-shape rail 20 is held by the pathway units 13. An accessor 14 is guided by an upper side rail 21.

The entry part 26 detects a dropped cartridge 20, and operates a reversal motor 35, and inverts a reversal table 38 and the table 41 by 180 deg., and drives a motor 42 for sliding, and moves the table 41 to an anti-control panel side. After that, the cartridge 20 is caught with the hand of the accessor, then, it is delivered to a prescribed deck.

CONSTITUTION:A first slider 48 and a second slider 49 are moved in the rear by moving a first arm 46 and a second arm 47 backward, which cancels the application of pressure to a first side hook 55 and a second side hook 56. Then, the energizing force of springs 57 and 58 swings the rotary ends of the first and second side hooks 55 and 56 in such a fashion that they may be separated from a medium. This construction allows both the front hook and the rear hook to be opened and closed simultaneously with the opening and closing of a front hook 50 and a rear hook 51 when a rise and fall table 61 rises and falls. Therefore, even if an operator inserts a wrong medium by mistake, the medium will not fall to the rise and fall table 61 so that it may be possible to halt the operation of a device.
