    • PURPOSE:To eliminate the need for connecting earth terminals with silver solder and make a package lighter without using metal frames by using a base wherein the earth terminals are mounted at an electrode plate of a package base and further, by sealing earth and lead terminals, thereby forming a book-type body made of insulating materials around the above base. CONSTITUTION:A base 21 is equipped with a flat plate type electrode plate 22 and a number of earth terminals 5 are extended to the outside and are connected with a plate 24. A lead terminal 3 extends in the direction of the electrode plate 22 from the plate 24 and a pointed end 32 is formed into a sectional U-shape and allows circuit components 30 to be easily connected to the lead terminal 3. The other pointed end 51 of the terminal 5 has the same functions. A book-type body 26 made of insulating materials 4 is formed around the base 21 and it not only seals terminals 5 and 3 but also makes this package form an air-tight space 28 wherein circuit components are sealed. When the package is used, the plate 24 is cut-off from the terminals 5 and 3 so that mutual contact is cut between the above terminals and plate 24 and mounting of the circuit components 30 into the air-tight space 28 allows the circuit components 30 to be connected to the terminals 5 and 3. After that, the package is pressed using pressure after putting a lid 8 on it.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a crystal oscillator whose oscillation frequency varies over a wide range is large by providing a gap between an integrated circuit substrate and a metallic base supporting thereof. CONSTITUTION:An input output terminal 7 is inserted to a throughhole of an integrated circuit substrate 5 with a crystal vibrator 1 mounted thereon and a tip of the input output terminal 7 projected to the upper face of the integrated circuit substrate is soldered to the pattern on the integrated circuit substrate 5. Then the integrated circuit substrate 5 is fixed onto a metallic base 10 in parallel so that a desired gap D is interposed between the surface of the metallic base 10 and the rear side of the integrated circuit substrate 5. Then a case 11 made of a shallow metallic box is covered by applying seam welding to the case 11 at the entire circumferential ridge of the upper face of the metallic case 10, and a gas such as Nitrogen gas is sealed in the case 11 to package the crystal oscillator. Accordingly, the stray capacitance is less and the frequency variable range is increased without varying the constant of the oscillation circuit.

    • PURPOSE:To obtain a highly accurate A/D converting circuit in a simple constitution and at low costs by outputting an analog signal inputted to an (n)-bit A/D converting means as a digital signal at (n+1)-bits or more. CONSTITUTION:An arithmetic means 200 providing an adding function and a dividing function is connected to the output side of an (n)-bit A/D converting means 100. Further a parallel comparative type A/D converting circuit 100a is used for the means 100, and the means 200 is composed of an arithmetic circuit 200a, which consists of a whole adding circuit 210 to add the (n) words of a digital output from the circuit 100a, and a dividing circuit 230 to divide the addition result of the circuit 210 by the (n) and to obtain the mean value per word. Thus the output of the means 100 is averaged by the means 200, and the analog signal inputted to the means 100 is outputted as the digital signal at the (n+1)-bits or more. Thus the A/D converting circuit, which can obtain the more accurate output than that at the time of inputting, can be easily composed.

    • PURPOSE:To basically cope with many requests just with a single type of filter by forming this filter with a piezoelectric oscillator and a voltage control type variable capacity diode. CONSTITUTION:A T-shaped filter is formed with two piezoelectric oscillators X and X' and a variable capacity diode 1 serving as a coupling capacitor. The variable capacity diodes 2 and 3 are connected to the oscillators X and X' respectively. When an ambient temperature T raises, the voltage Va applied to both ends of the diode 1 is increased so that the capacity Cd is set smaller than the capacity Cd0 obtained at a normal temperature. As a result, the control voltages Vb and Vc applied between both terminals of diodes 2 and 3 respectively are decreased and the capacities Cs and Cs' of diodes 2 and 3 are increased to eliminate the frequency variance of both oscillators X and X'. In such a constitution, a filter is obtained with increased band width and a small phase change caused at f0.

    • PURPOSE:To easily eliminate an unnecessary metallic film, by etching the unnecessary metallic film produced by side etching of a quartz with a liquid dissolving only the unnecessary metallic film, in etching the quartz into a specified size. CONSTITUTION:A metallic layer 2 is formed on both sides of a thin quartz plate 1. In this layer 2, Cr having good adherence to the quartz plate 1 is at first vapor-deposited and then Au is vapor-deposited. A resist film 3 is coated on the film 2. The film 3 is patterned and the layer 2 is selectively etched by using this film 3 as a mask. In this case, etching of Au and Cr is sequentially and individually performed. Next, the quartz plate 1 is etched to the specified shape by using the film 3 and the layer 2. In this case, as the method for removing an unnecessary metallic film produced by side etching of quartz, Cr is etched at first and then Au is etched. Thus, by etching with a liquid dissolving only the unnecessary metal, since a lot of crystals can be dipped in the liquid at the same time, the unnecessary metallic film can easily be removed.
