CONSTITUTION:The title mechanism is provided with an auxiliary lever 6 which follows and interlocks the turning of a shutter opening/closing lever 4 and a control lever 8 which is turned by the pushing of the auxiliary lever 6 and whose tip part is slided to a side face part 2B of a cartridge 2. When the cartridge 2 is projected from the loading/unloading opening by the prescribed quantity when the cartridge is ejected, the tip part of the control lever 8 is slided to the side face part 2B of the cartridge 2. When the cartridge 2 is ejected from a housing 1, the projection of the cartridge from the loading/unloading opening can always be made a prescribed value.

CONSTITUTION:When a cartridge is loaded into a housing 23 which is positioned at its ascended level, an eccentric roller 22 is turned around by 180 deg. to the right by means of the drive of a motor 26, and the ejection member 21 which is engaged with the roller 22 via a groove 24 is moved to the right, the housing 23 is descended with its roller 29 as guided by a sloping cam 25. If the power failure or some trouble is happened on the above arrangement, the member 21 can be pushed by hand to the left because of the roller 22 being positioned in a wide part 31 of the groove 24, thus ascending the housing 23 to enable the cartridge to be ejected out.

The front end part 32 and the upper collet 24 are accurately centered by bearings 27 and 26 respectively. Thus, the generation of deflection and noise at the time of rotating the medium is prevented and the extent of insertion of the collet in the cup 31 is small.

CONSTITUTION:When the ejecting member 25 is pushed in in a right direction with intent to execute the discharge of the cartridge 12 by mistake while an optical disk is being driven, a photosensor 48 detects the member 25, and in addition, because a cartridge holder 11 is positioned at a position shown in a figure, the electromagnet 47 attracts the arm of the lock lever 40. On the other hand, since the part to be pushed of the lock lever 23 is pushed by the pushing part of the member 25, the restriction of the engaging piece 17 of the slide plate 14 is intended to be released. But since the attractive force of the magnet 47 to keep the restriction of the engaging piece 17 is larger than force to release the restriction of the engaging piece 17, the lever 40 keeps the engaging piece 17 restricted. As the result, the force to lift the cartridge holder 11 is not generated, and accordingly, there is no possibility that the cartridge 12 is discharged by mistake.
