      CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric ceramic 11 of the longitudinal vibrator 20 is split in lengthwise direction to form polarized regions 21, 22. The broadwise polarization of the regions 21, 22 is made opposite. Thus, the displacement of the longitudinal vibration mode appears alternately and the deterioration of the frequency response characteristic due to the increase in the number of order in both even/odd number order modes is eliminated.

    • PURPOSE:To adjust a converter to be adjusted without touching components except said converter by using a means disconnecting the converter to be adjusted electrically equivalently from other converters while keeping a completed mechanical filter. CONSTITUTION:When a switch 9 is thrown to the position (a), a coil 10 is connected electrically to a damping capacitance Cd2 of a converter V2 at the output side, and also a phase shifter 11 and an amplifier 12 are connected to a converter V1 of the input side and oscillation is produced in the circuit system. The oscillating frequency is compared with a desired frequency of the converter V1 from a reference oscillator 16 at a comparator 15. When the result of comparison is different, a control circuit 14 controls a laser 17 so as to cut the size of the input component being the converter to be adjusted, e.g., the V1. Then the resonance frequency of an output circuit 13 is adjusted. After the adjustment, the switch 9 is thrown to the position (b) and similar adjustoment process is applied to the input converter V2 being the element to be adjusted. Thus, the converter to be adjusted is set to the desired resonance frequency without access to components except said converter.

    • PURPOSE:To eliminate magnetization and residual strain during welding, and to improve mechanical filter characteristics, by heating an electromechanical transducer, a resonator, and a coupler at specific temperature after electric welding. CONSTITUTION:Copper-made electrodes 5 and 6 are placed on and under electromachanical transducers 1, a coupler 3, and resonators 2 and while the electrodes are depressed, a large current is applied. Then, resistive heat generation is caused at contacting parts of the electrodes 5 and 6 to weld the contacting parts of both the metals. At this time, the transducers 1, coupler 3, and resonators 2 are magnetized because they consist essentially of constantly elastic metals, causing residual magnetization. To reduce this residual magnetization and mechanical residual strain, a heat treatment is performed at sufficient temperatures (100-200 deg.C) and then the temperature is lowered gradually.
